It would be cool (IMO) if Maleficent’s mountain or Bald Mountain was built over the railroad with the train passing through it. That could create a new, exciting show scene for the railroad.
Cool idea but those would probably toward the back of the land as the entrance to a e-ticket

probably would more need to just hide the train like the do around Tron, although that would be a large stretch, but maybe just some of the thorn bushes and stuff block it

The mountain can still harbor the e-ticket above it. Having a place at the base where the train passes through doesn't seem like it would take up an astronomical amount of space.

I feel like they can absolutely build the rides' showbuilding(s?) over the train tracks, giving the train a nice tunnel, and we would never notice while in the buildings. It would entail having stairs/elevators, obviously, or having the ride itself go over it somehow.... Either way, it could definitely be done, and honestly that is what I was always thinking in my head would be what they do since announcing it in the location it is going to be in. It leaves most of the acreage in front of the train tracks for the shops, restaurants and foot traffic.

Not sure what the plot of the land/rides will be but be kind of neat if the train provided a view into the Villains "commend center" planning area with some.basic animatronics on the walls, etc and showing blueprints and a bunch of Easter eggs.

Doesn't need to be anything major but something fun that you can only see from the train would be neat

I'm guessing this land means the last 2 remaining perimeter seasonal show pyro launch sites will be removed?

I don't know where the focal point of the land will be or how heavy pyro can be placed in the general area behind the land.

However if set it up so you could get decent pyro and heavy projection back there. Maybe rework the middle of HEA so when the castle breaks the villains land area lights up in response.

That would be awesome.

Following up on this, I remember there was some discussion about Villains land having a lot of elevation changes. Maybe some of those elevation changes are necessary in order to build over the railroad? Just a thought.

Just posted the below in the Cars thread, thought it applicable to your question. There's still opportunity to introduce plenty of elevation change with future permits, but it seems like this initial effort will bring RoA almost completely level with the surrounding areas.
The permit doesn't really limit how much they can fill in the area, it just specifies the minimum elevation they're planning to bring RoA area to to satisfy stormwater drainage requirements. Right now, the existing perimeter of RoA and surrounding areas is anywhere between 98' and 100', and the basin of RoA is approx 93-95ish. The permit states they'll bring the entirety of RoA to a minimum of 98.75.

The actual construction civil drawings for Cars and Villains could include a ton of grading that provides lots of topology change to the final site design, but this permit at a minimum suggests they will bring all of RoA level with the rest of surrounding MK

I'm all for new elevation changes, I understand the parks need and should be as accessible as possible plus easy for parades. But Idk why but I just find Magic Kingdom specifically to be so flat that I think some height change would be really nice.

That sounds awesome!
Would be like Magic Kingdoms 'Villains' version of Disneylands Dino-rama part in their train!

My #1 for this land is a viewing alternative for fireworks. Relieve the main st congestion.
I made a post about this a whilllllleeeee ago. Not knowing if it's possible. And then Disneyland started doing the fireworks double viewing from their Galaxies Edge!

At this point, you have to think a separate fireworks show (using the same fireworks as HEA) will be happening in Villains Land. I think something like that would be the true cherry on top of this being the best expansion ever at WDW.
