I believe the only attractions ever designed with a railroad scene had Tony Baxter involved. Not that future attractions couldn’t, but nobody else seems to think about it sadly.
Cool idea but those would probably toward the back of the land as the entrance to a e-ticketIt would be cool (IMO) if Maleficent’s mountain or Bald Mountain was built over the railroad with the train passing through it. That could create a new, exciting show scene for the railroad.
Could we get an additional train stop maybe?
I mean DLR has a 1.2 mile train with 4 stopsSo the train would stop at Frontierland station, start moving and then stop again 30 seconds later?
Good point I guess I wasn’t thinking about that maybe if they ever expand behind fantasyland? So the train would stop at Frontierland station, start moving and then stop again 30 seconds later?

Or stretching rooms, or an unexpected drop.It would entail having stairs/elevators
Or stretching rooms, or an unexpected drop.
That’s why both exist. But remember, this is the Disney that closed the Red Car Trolley because they needed the space for the trolley barn for a Trowbridge marvel ride.
I feel like they can absolutely build the rides' showbuilding(s?) over the train tracks, giving the train a nice tunnel, and we would never notice while in the buildings. It would entail having stairs/elevators, obviously, or having the ride itself go over it somehow.... Either way, it could definitely be done, and honestly that is what I was always thinking in my head would be what they do since announcing it in the location it is going to be in. It leaves most of the acreage in front of the train tracks for the shops, restaurants and foot traffic.
I'm guessing this land means the last 2 remaining perimeter seasonal show pyro launch sites will be removed?
Following up on this, I remember there was some discussion about Villains land having a lot of elevation changes. Maybe some of those elevation changes are necessary in order to build over the railroad? Just a thought.
The permit doesn't really limit how much they can fill in the area, it just specifies the minimum elevation they're planning to bring RoA area to to satisfy stormwater drainage requirements. Right now, the existing perimeter of RoA and surrounding areas is anywhere between 98' and 100', and the basin of RoA is approx 93-95ish. The permit states they'll bring the entirety of RoA to a minimum of 98.75.
The actual construction civil drawings for Cars and Villains could include a ton of grading that provides lots of topology change to the final site design, but this permit at a minimum suggests they will bring all of RoA level with the rest of surrounding MK
That sounds awesome! Not sure what the plot of the land/rides will be but be kind of neat if the train provided a view into the Villains "commend center" planning area with some.basic animatronics on the walls, etc and showing blueprints and a bunch of Easter eggs.
Doesn't need to be anything major but something fun that you can only see from the train would be neat
I made a post about this a whilllllleeeee ago. Not knowing if it's possible. And then Disneyland started doing the fireworks double viewing from their Galaxies Edge!My #1 for this land is a viewing alternative for fireworks. Relieve the main st congestion.
