Speaking of which, do you think Dr. Facilier is considered off-limits for this land if he was off-limits for Tiana's Bayou Adventure?
He’s not off-limits at all. He just wasn’t in TBA because the narrative of that ride takes place after the movie and since he died in the movie it didn’t make any sense to put him in the ride.

The rules are a bit different for a land than an individual ride.

I want to use this defense too, but it's kind of hard when Ray sings to you for a great portion of the ride, despite being dead also. They even have a memorial to him and Evangeline, so I think using the track from the movie with him singing is just lazy. They should have re-recorded it with Anika Noni Rose and Michael-Leon Wooley taking the lead vocals.

All that to say, I really hope Facilier has a presence in villiansland. He's one of their bests, up there with Ursula and Maleficent for my top 3.

I actually forgot Ray died.

How dare you poke holes in my logic with facts!!! Jk

Seriously though, thank you for pointing that out. I still think we’ll be seeing the not so good doctor in some capacity within the new land, just don’t ask me for details. lol

Too bad "The Black Cauldron" was not a hit movie. The Horned King is one of Disney's best villains, probably will not be in the new Villains Land since not many people would know his story.
In the reveal post, there are 19 villains shown, including The Horned King. The land is probably going to have a mix of the mainstays and lesser known villains.

That's kind of the problem, though.

The Disney villains are so disparate that the kind of land you might expect to see Maleficent in doesn't really work for, say, Captain Hook or Gaston (at least IMO).

There are certain collections of villains that would work in a similar setting, but I don't see how they can really make a Villains land that works as a catchall for every Disney villain without some feeling out of place. Maybe it just features Maleficent, Chernabog, Ursula, Hades, Scar, and Jafar? They feel like they could all work in a similar setting, other than Scar being a talking lion.
Yeah, my hope is they limit the villains a bit to make sense. Like you said, there are some that will go better than others will. Hopefully they understand that and use the ones that fit, and the others can be left out. Frankly there are too many villains to include them all in one land anyways, and hey, there's an easy way to expand if this is as big as at least I think it is going to be.

Technically he didn't die... He was dragged to the "Other Side".....So there is no reason he could not figure out a way to cross back over into the land of the living...

I hope the new Villain's name is Maxim Nabisceaux... Who stole the Beignet Crate packing secrets and took them down river where he started a For-Profit Foods Factory...

This part could work? For example, the roller coaster could have its loading area in the main land, but its main show building in this zone, similar to Cosmic Rewind or it could be like what happens with Indi in Disneyland.
