That place will always be Lancer's Inn to me ... the ONLY place to get pizza at the MK in the 1970s.

Not good pizza, but pizza nonetheless.

~Dole Whip is overrated~

Did you ever notice that dole whips at disneyland taste better than the ones at WDW? I think there also cheaper at DL too...

I did a search, and here's a comparison (and I actually have never had either version):

Old Figaro Fries (on the right):

Some people say it's mayo, others say it's Ranch dressing on there.

I am sorry but the thought of lettuce with french fries makes me a little nauseous. And doesn't it say something when people can't tell the difference between mayo and ranch dressing.

Does anyone else remember that the cups and saucers in the upper windows of VIllage Fry Shoppe and Mrs. Potts Cupboard used to sway back and forth like they were dancing? That was when VFS was called Lumiere's Cupboard (or Kitchen).

Used to sit on colorful tables eating high school cafeteria quality pizza while watching Nemo's subs head off on a mission that would take them 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, while high overhead the Skyway took guests on a panoramic trip from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland.

And yeah, those strawberry swirls were great.

So were the frozen grape juice bars from Welch's (located about where the Pan FP area is now if I recall correctly).

~Yep MK of 2009 sure is better than MK of 1979 :ROFLOL:~

Also the Christmas shoppe was in Fantasyland and next to it was a shop oddly called "The Aristocats" which was the latest release when the Magic Kingdom opened. The name lasted quite a long time until Sir Mickey's took over. Off topic, but does anyone else notice how Sir Mickey blurs the story lines between The Brave Little Tailor and Mickey and the Beanstalk?

They go together well.
If you see that particular mix as weird, then I'll tell you that I often mix the lettuce and tomato and pico de gayo in with the refried beans at a Mexican restaurant. Stir lightly and eat. Yummy :slurp:

The two stand-alone locations (Downtown Disney and near the All-Stars) aren't changing, though the one near the All-Stars is undergoing a major external refurb. (There's another thread about that)

The one by the All Stars is getting enlarged. The one in DTD is going bye-bye soon, believe it or not.
