I will be heading to the World July 2 - 4 and want to know about Viewing Fireworks from The Polynesian Resort. Do I have to have a room on Disney Property to get access to the beach to Watch the Fireworks. I plan on doing this July 3rd.

sure dont! just take the monorail or whichever transporation you want to get there and head on over to the beach.

i'd recommend getting there pretty early. like maybe even more than a hour earlier

Yeah, what BeyondYou said ^^^^.

The best thing is that the music from the fireworks show will be pumped through the speakers near the beach.

Poly is a perfect vantage point.

I like the view point from atop of the contemporary.....but you do have to have dinner there to get out on the roof top. I also like the view from the Grand Floridian....some of the pictures I have seen are very good

My favorite place to watch the fireworks is from the beach at the Poly, especially on nights when the Magic Kingdom is crowded.

It is OK to watch from the resort beaches or docks, but you do loose a lot of the effect, even with the music piped in. There are a lot of lower effects that are lost.

I've always felt you have to be in the park.

Roof of the Contemporary offers stunning views (here), and probably the best overall view of ALL the effects except when you're actually in the parks... but yes, it is different.

The Poly beach is a lovely experience in and of itself. You'll miss the lower level effets, but you get stuff you wouldn't see in the parks, like the big shells reflecting in the water and also in the windows of the Contemporary. Plus you can hang around and catch the Electrical Water Pageant.

Do i suggest everyone catching the fireworks from those two locations? Absolutely. I'm all about seeing cool explosions from new angles :D I've even watched em from inside Swiss Family Treehouse (though they're realllllllllllly tough to see). But it's just not the same as standing on Main Street or in the Hub.

Most likely the best of the three. Especially if you are with a group.:D

As long as you don't plan to park at the Poly you will be fine. If you are parking at the Poly you will need to either be a Poly guest or have a confirmed dining reservation.

We love to view from the Poly. We escape the the crowd of mainstreet at MK. The music is piped thru the speakers on the beach at Poly. It is great!! All we then do is hop back on the monorail and get off at MK and head to our resort bus. We miss the crowds getting on the monorail and heading out the gates. I prefer to watch them at Poly vs. MK. I get a better view and its awesome. :sohappy:

If you can, request a room in the Tahiti building. It's farthest from the lobby but closest to the beach and directly across from Cinderella's castle. It's also a very short walk to the TTC.

We stayed in the building and our balcony was directly across from the castle and we had a great view of the fireworks. We also had the perfect spot to watch the Electric Water Parade!
