Sadly, I give it a couple months until some Landry's accountants turn it off after they see the cost of running it.
Looks pretty cool! Does the Rain Forest Cafe at Animal Kingdom do that too? I didn't think so. I have a reservation for the AK one in November. After seeing this I'm thinking I need to switch it out?

We have been to both locations many times... pretty much the same inside. I'd say stay at the one in AK as it is ALWAYS less crowded. Plus you can view the volcano from anywhere down in DTD when you are there. Actually is looks better from across the lake to me!
I admit, I did a double take the realize that was a stab at the Disco Yeti.A visit to the Rainforest Cafe is a must on every trip to WDW (DTD). The service is always amazing, and my discount is wonderful![]()
Am I the only one that gets a little freaked out at this? Seems like something that could go wrong easily.
You haven't heard the back story of how a volcano grew out of the Florida swamp when Meriwether Pleasure found a Hawaiian Tiki pendant in an ancient burial cave ?Absolute rubbish. Fire and explosions belong in Vegas or a Jersey Shore resort. Not in the beautiful Village / Downtown Disney.
There is no overarching theme, no placemaking. No reason for a thirty foot volcano to be next to a Florida swamp lake. Just loud special effects for the sake of it. The equivalent of a b-movie that revolves around effects and explosions.
