The Executive Chef is fantastic. I first met Israel after Citricos reopened post pandemic when he was working there. Each time I came back, he remembered me and no different when we went to V&A after it reopened. BTW the harp player is a former Miss America (1974)It had just reopened, with the new chef. I was at V&A the night of last year's announcements.
Word around the mise en place then was that Michelin might wait a year to see how the new chef and re-opening would do. Nobody thought they were undeserving - it was just a matter of time.
Huge congratulations to Israel. He's worked for better fine-dining experiences in WDW his entire career. Just a great guy whose dedicated his adult life to the culinary arts.

This is going to be my April Fools Day joke next year. Forget you ever said it, please. For a moment, I thought Victoria and Alberts was going to be a unique character dinner.
Yes, she was such a wonderful person to talk to even though she was quite busy.Is that Chef Gaby??
How about express seating for another $200 Alex?Price will go up because of this... But it's well deserved.
When it was launched, it was a way for people to drive longer distances (on tires) to try different restaurants because of the award.I was today days old when I learned that the company that does Michelin stars is the same company that makes tires.
The process is completely based on favoritism and obviously a lot of subjectivity. The fact the restaurant was at Disney didn't help because the idea was it couldn't stand on its own as Michelin Star quality experience. Rather, it needed to be at Disney to be successful.Should have had a star 20 years ago. I still don't understand why it took so long.
2022 was the inaugural year for the Michelin guide covering Florida. V&A didn’t qualify then because it hadn’t reopened yet during portions of the rating period. The process is completely based on favoritism and obviously a lot of subjectivity. Where was Israel working when V&A was closed?
I thought working at WDW wasn’t a career? That’s what the experts told me!Huge congratulations to Israel. He's worked for better fine-dining experiences in WDW his entire career.
I guess that explains Yachtsman on the phone asking, “how many Israels you got?”First, Topolino’s, where it became the highest-rated restaurant in WDW. Then at Citricos where it jumped in the ratings.
Israel is worth a solid 5 points in any guest survey, at least. Not kidding.
Does this mean V&A is now a character meal? They have their travel guide business as well as the tires.
Here's two photos from the ceremony, featuring the Michelin man:

The quality of food at Topolino's I'd say is easily the top at WDW, at least it was. The chefs also know how to cook.First, Topolino’s, where it became the highest-rated restaurant in WDW. Then at Citricos where it jumped in the ratings.

Imagineering hadn't perfected cloning yet. It surprises me that Disney hasn't lured Israel into a position to impact more restaurants but if he likes working with guests it's possible he's turned down other roles.I guess that explains Yachtsman on the phone asking, “how many Israels you got?”
