Okay. Just stupid then.Cohen has said he did not realize that Tower of Terror was a high-speed, sudden-drop attraction when he and his family decided to ride it.
You would think the screaming that can be heard from the front of the park and the fact that you can see the elevators going up and down from the front of the attraction might be a clue that ToT is not a clone of IASW.
Okay. Just stupid then.
Or lying. I wonder which one.
Nope.Doesn't this guy ever give up?! :brick:
Maybe he thought the sign said Tower of Tulips.
Does any one on this site know why when Lawyers die that they burry them 12 ft deep instead of the normal 6 ft deep?
Because it is believed by honest people that somewhere down deep Lawyers are good!
Honestly this is the most ridiculous story about this 80 year old man and the ToT that I have ever heard. He should really be ashamed of himself. Did he think the Tower of Terror was going to be cute little bunny rabbits and move at the speed of SSE. Then what about the signs posted, the screams heard and of course seeing the open window from outside and seeing the people drop. Lastly he could have asked a cast member before he gotten on what the ride was like and opt walk to the exit and wait for his family if he thinks the ride would hurt himself. I guess common sense does not prevail here. Not to mention WDW wins the case and now has to pay again to go to re-trial. Thats bull. I hope when WDW wins the case again that WDW lawyers ask the courts to have this person pay the leagal fee's that Disney has to pay out. That just might set a precendense to help stop law suites like this.
Afraid this won't happen... then you will have not only the Orlando Sentinel, but also CNNBS, ABS, NBS, MSNBS, CBS, The NY Slimes, Washington ComPost, and every other large scale media outlet crying foul and rushing to the side of this man to protect him from the big bad greedy and evil corporate Mouse that is trying to financially ruin this citizen who is exercising his right to try and stick it to the man.
What a sorry waste of time, money, and resources.
The attitude of SO many people today is that when something goes wrong it's just GOT to be someone else's fault. It just CAN'T be an accident or due to their own actions/ignorance.
Why stop at Disney? He should sue his parents and relatives for giving him the defective artery!
I must've missed the news report that threw out the original case. That was fast.
Score one for Disney Legal!!
Hopefully one day people will stop blaming other people, or things, for there own dang fault or simply accidents!
I had a relative that was injured at disney due to a faulty safety device.. This person was not permanently injured (VERY minor injury), and we didn't sue disney.. They did all but FORCE us to take a small cash settlement, I honestly tried to decline, but the person on the phone told me "Once it gets to me, all I can deal in is monetary compensation"... anyway.. Took the cash and used it to pay for a disney pass, or something.. it wasn't a large amount of money at all..
the point is, Disney has no problem taking care of things when they are truely at fault.. this person is a dip****.
