Very Late Check-In?

Hi all :)

We are about to book our flight for our Disneymoon (YAY!) but we will be taking an early evening flight, which will get us into to our resort at around 10:30-11:00pm.
I'm so nervous for them to think we're not showing up and give away our room!
I called Disney today and was told that they wouldn't release our reservation unless we didn't show up by 8am the next morning and they will make a note that were arriving late.

Has anyone else encounter this late check-in? Help!

Thanks!

We got to AoA at 11 in September. It was no problem. There were quiet a few people in the non-online check-in line. I think it's common for people to check in late.

Hi there! You can do online check in and confirm that late check in. And in the past, we did a late night check in and we just kept calling to verify we were on our way. They did not give away our room. So it will be fine! :) Promise! :)

We arrived at 3:00 A.m. one time and they had our room keys ready for us... In fact they greeted me by my last name... its like they where waiting for us :)

Having the room keys already printed is actually necessary for them at that time of night. Once they start their overnight end-of-day stuff in the computer between 12 and 1am, they can't check anyone in so they go ahead and print out the room keys for anyone who's due to check in that night but hasn't arrived yet. Presumably you were the last one left.

11 is not an issue. I'v arrived at that hour several times before and it's not a issue. Now with online check in I put it down as my ETA but even before the days of online check in I never had a problem.

We checked in after midnight at the YC for our Christmas trip (12/21..actually 12/22) we were the last to check in. because we arrived so late we had to get our own luggage. DME will only get your bags if you plane lands prior to 10 PM. when we got the the resort (the only ones on the ME bus by the way) they knew us by name. i asked if they knew it was us beacuse we are the last guests arriving. they said yes, but they saved the best for last. we were given an upgrade to a corner room overlooking the BW. the room was big with windows looking out on two sides, plus a great balcony to relax on and take it all in!!! we had stayed at the YC before, but this was by far the best room we ever had. so there are perks to getting to your resort late!!!

We also have checked in as late as midnight. Get your own bags from DME and your room will be fine. The one issue that we did have that no one has brought up... we stayed at the BW and when we arrived HUNGRY (hadn't eaten supper) at 11:30pm we had a very hard time finding anywhere to grab a quick bit to eat at that time. So you may want to make sure you have something to eat in your luggage, just in case you don't get to eat a decent supper.
