Rumor Version of MaxPass coming to WDW in May?

According to @marni1971, MK Theater money went to other unmentioned MK project(s) but not the monorail nor Stitch replacement. Also, insiders hinted there were other issues with the MK Theater's placement. Of course, if one were to check out the links in my sig, I have an idea about MK theaters and people eating and hub-de-crowding.

True.. Now that I think about..I think i was looking at this the other day in you rumor section. Have a New Born and toddler brain is a little fried at times haha.

How about Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress? Heck, if there was a spot for Jungle Cruise in DAK I'd be on board with that moving as well.

The current Disney focus is on Movie Based IP. It dictates the year one marketing push and beyond that occasionally results in sustained popularity independent of attraction quality. The thing they're not doing is considering the park specific IP they have, most of which is centralized in the Magic Kingdom.

We often lament that "characters belong here..." and usually "here" is the Magic Kingdom. One could argue that the opposite is also true, "non-character things belong here..." and "here" is "Not the Magic Kingdom". I recognize that it shouldn't be that cut and dry, but I think there are circumstances when these types of logical decisions can be made. With Tomorrowland and Future World for example you have two lands whose origins were largely about futurism and in many respects contained interchangeable attractions. Perhaps a movie vs non-movie based attraction distinction would solve this.

You've read my mind. I've always thought Carousel should be in Epcot (or back in Disneyland's Tomorrowland which would be "fixed" the right way but alas ...). I go back and forth on Space Mountain. But there's lots of options. I know people laugh when we suggest moving rides, but they could have with Small World when they basically rebuilt it back in 2005(ish?) ...

Haven't ever thought of moving Jungle Cruise. But they have an expansion pad in Adventureland, plus a small spot for another restaurant to use ... that'd be the last thing I move but I wouldn't be against it should they one day truly need the space. It would of couse fit. But we have the 'real thing' in the Safari. Sure it's not the same, but I like it's real and JC is fantasy/animatronics, I think it fits the vibe of Adventureland better ...

I've been surprised at the amount of ads I've seen up here in Indiana on TV advertising for Walt Disney World in the last few months. It feels desperate in a way we on here know they are not based on crowd levels.

Side note 1: At what point does marketing under (sometimes) false pretenses (near empty parks, free roaming characters, etc) cross into a gray area where first time guests start asking for refunds based off of these expectations and then arriving to massive crowds and 30 minute waits to see certain characters? Its far-fetched but the recent crowd levels next to the near empty parks in commercials makes the difference really stark if those commercials, in isolation, make some actually schedule a trip.

Side Note 2: Also makes me wonder if WDW really even needs to market anymore? If they full stopped marketing for the next 12 months would they even notice?
Another Hoosier here. I think they've done enough advertisements considering DD10 just rolls her eyes and says "We're already going". Like the TV is just gonna stop showing us the same commercial.

A new E Ticket will not do that.

The solution to MKs overcrowdedness is to make the other three parks so attractive, that people will chose one of the other parks over the MK, or, at least, stop them from going to the MK several times in the same vacation week.

I agree... but. MK will always draw far and away the largest crowds just for being MK. To a giant chunk of people that IS Disney World. I don't think MK needs more E's. It needs things like the Alice & Pinocchio dark rides, the Storybook Canal boats and Casey Jr. Train. Smaller attractions that people will want to experience and will wait for... but probably won't be planning a vacation around. A Stitch replacement would be a good start. They could easily turn the Main St. Cinema into an attraction of some sort again, repurpose part of the Walt Disney Story area used for Meet & Greets.

Possibly trialling it out.

I’d love to hear from anyone who books it what the actual limits are. I’ve seen a few people report getting the offer, yet to see anyone book yet though!

:

"Online registration required" may mean that you have to sign up with MDE in order to make advance FP+ reservations. The previous paragraph specifically mentions planning, so it seems to fit in that context.

They need to add that little bit about online registration for first-time visitors. Sort of like how tech support has to operate under the assumption that all callers don't know anything about technology, Disney needs to word their website as if those reading it have never visited one of their parks/resorts.

Maybe a precursor or maybe a legal update to avoid issues of guests not getting the rides they wanted or Star Wars.
My guess would be more along the lines of future pay for more, or hotel rate based FP+ selections. $100 rooms get 1. $200 get 2, etc.

The interesting point IMO though is the option to prebook at multiple parks.

However if you look at the dates, anyone booking it for june is pretty much within the 60 day mark for FPs already. I'd like to hear reports from anyone booking now for july. Exactly what they can do at 60 days out.

Oddly enough, my email did not contain the verbiage about FastPasses. Weird!

Really? That’s the most intriguing part to me. So just a pin code discount?
Yep!
