Vegetarian Options

Here are a few resources to check out:

Look down the left side of this link for vegetarian options and experiences.

There are restaurant reviews on this site. One of the frequent reviewers is vegetarian, so often veggie entrees are featured. (she is also diabetic and talks about the desserts the chefs come up with)

Bottom line--Disney is well-equipped to handle vegetarian meals. Check on-line menus to see if you need a special request. When you make your PS, mention that you want vegetarian. That way the chef will have something planned.

I know that Kona Cafe and California Grill cater very well to vegetarians. If you decide to go to either place, tell them there are vegetarians dining in the party, and they will prepare something special for you.

I am a vegetarian and have had great choices at Disney. Disney seems to be very accomodating and the food was fabulous. The only time I had to contact ahead of time was for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and I just called the office. They had a WAY better meal for me then the rest of my party...:slurp: ... I was the envy of my table. Must have had 10 veggies and an enormous fruit platter for dessert! Anyhoo...they are pretty good with their vegetarian meals, not had one I didn't like yet. Plus, if there isn't anything you like they are offering, they will make you something special.

Our favorite place is the California Grill. We eat there every trip. I order the "vegitarian fusion" and everyone is always envious. It is wonderful. If you make reservations a little before MK's fireworks, you'll have a fantastic show in addition to a great meal. Don't miss the creme brulee for dessert!:sohappy:

The only complaint I have is that sometimes it seems like all of the vegetarian dishes are too similar. For example, one trip they were pretty much all a variation of pasta primavera...each with a "difference" but still basically the same dish. Another time, they were all tofu...most were wonderful, others were OK, and one entree was horrible.

Some of the suggestions given (California Grill,San Angel Inn, Moroccan restaurant) sound like they aren't just a "we've got to have a vegetarian entree and here it is" sort of selection.

I've been to Disney many times while I was a Vegetarian, I never had any trouble and they ALWAYS have a fruit at even the fast food places. I had trouble when I was a Vegan but that was almost ten years ago now and 'the World has become much more into culinary oddities like mine. Just curious, how long have you been on the wagon? I was veg for three and a half years and Vegan for one and half, and straight x edge the whole time.
