Hi, I'm planning a trip in April with a few friends for my sweet sixteen. I have a reservation at Teppan Edo. I know everyone would like to eat Tepenyaki, but one of my friends is vegetarian. I've eaten at Teppan Edo many times before, but their menu doesn't seem to include any veg tepenyaki options. Will they be able to prepare something for my friend?

As I recall, most of the meal you're served is veggies, I would guess it wouldn't be difficult to increase the quantities or add other veggies to the meal for a vegetarian.

But regardless what I remember or think, every restaurant in WDW will provide for dietary requirements on request, some places require advance notice but for a vegetarian it shouldn't be a problem.

I have the same question only with Ohana's...The menu seems pretty meaty, which is fine with all of us, but a little concerned about a vegiatarian in our group?

Any thoughts?

I took a look at the menu on all ears and as for vegetarian options this is what I found:

'Ohana Welcome Bread
Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing

Lo mein Noodles, tossed in a Teriyaki sauce with fresh vegetables
Stir-fried Vegetables

'Ohana bread pudding served a la mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce

I would call the restaurant ahead and inform them you have a Vegetarian Diner in your party, that way they may be able to fix something more for them to eat. If you wait till the last min. you may not get much more than extra veggie skewers for them.

I'm a vegetarian and I've never had a problem eating on property as far as sit down service is concerned. (Quick service is another matter! :) )If there aren't any veggie options on menu I've always asked the wait staff if there are any veggie options they had, and in every case they've either given me options right off the top of their head or brought me a second vegetarian menu. When I went to Hoop-De-Doo we had told them I was a vegetarian when we made our reservations, and when we were seated the chef came out personally and asked me what I was in the mood for!

I've never eaten at Japan so I can't speak for their menu, but at 'Ohana I've had two different dishes the two times I've been. The first time I had an awesome Hawaiian-style tofu that was hands-down, best tofu I've ever had. The second time I had a noodle dish that was OK. But I was accomodated very nicely both times.

Hope this helps!

EVERY WDW restaurant will take care of special dietary needs.

This is one area they excel at greatly.

I recently read a blog on Deb Wills planning site (WDWDIG) about a veggie dining at 'Ohana and the special meals they cooked looked and sounded better than the meat I normally eat there (if I had the link handy, I'd give it but you should be able to find it).

What are the dishes that they serve for vegetarian customer in disneyland resto

It varies as to what restaruant you are in.

The chef will make something up. Some places may have vegetarian offerings on the menu already. Others may alter exsiting dishes to meet the requirements. It also depends on the person ordering, as to if they are vegitarian, ovo/lacto, vegan, etc.

Maybe they just serve up a big ol plate of quorm :slurp:
