When we flew to Germany, the food on the flight was excellent. I was really surprised. And they served it with white wine.

I think all I got to eat flying to the UK was a small sandwich, some chips, and water every 30 minutes.

Awesome! It just amazes me how these huge beautiful bildings were designed and built with out any of the technology (or magical cranes) that we have today.

It really is amazing. The one in Cologne is still my favorite. It's the only building in downtown Cologne that survived the bombing.

We took the train there and I was just awe-struck when we got off the train, and it was right there. Didn't the allies use it for ""navigation" purposes in WWII?

Your photos are really making me jealous. I've never been to Paris, but I have heard so many horror stories about the people there that I've nearly forgotten all the beauty there.

It really is a city of monuments more than any other I've seen.

People don't seem terribly rude so far in face to face interactions. But there's a lot more physical contact on crowded streets. You get bumped into more often than on crowded streets in other cities.

Got to call it a night. We're going to NH tomorrow to give my sister a break from taking care of my mother, then we'll stop at our daughter's and take her out for dinner, so I won't be on much tomorrow at all.
I will say that watching the Royals win tonight was really fun - brought back a lot of memories of the Red Sox at this time last year and how the air was just electric!
