Moms husband is ok. His car is not, however.

The kid (17, borrowing dads brand new car...second payment due November 1) ran a stop sign and plowed right into the side of moms hubby's car. He's had lifelong back issues and this of course added to that. For safety reasons, he went to the ER to make sure no discs slipped, nothing broke, etc.

I highly recommended he see a chiropractor because of my background and he actually agreed....yay.

The interview went well, they offered me the job. It's part time, evening, but it's better than nothing and I'm going mental without a job so hopefully it'll work out. Of course I'm on a 90 day probationary period and have no benefits. Typical, really.

I'm seeking out mental health care because I should be happy and all I feel is awful. I've cried all evening since she called to offer me the position and I am ...not in a good place. Calling doctors office first thing in e morning to see if he can recommend something or someone to help me get through this. Not having insurance complicates things but how on earth am I supposed to afford it when I'm worried about keeping the roof over my head?

Life's gotta start going up from here. The job, albeit part time, is at least a baby step.

Thank goodness you found something. I know it's got to be a relief...give it time to sink in and hopefully you will start to feel better.

So glad he is ok. Tomorrow may bring more pains but hopefully nothing a few days rest won't cure.

I'm sad you are feeling so down but so happy to hear you are seeking out the help you feel you need. You know yourself better than anyone else and recognizing that you are in a funk and seeking help is really a bold and empowering move in and of itself. Things WILL get better from here.
