Upset, many rides closed while I am planned to go to WDW!

Hey folks, go easy on the original poster. I don't really see any whining, just an expression of disappointment that some of the attractions will be closed. We are all disappointed when things are closed, when the weather is bad, and when the crowds are too big, etc . . .

Yes, the rides are only one part of the Disney experience, but they are indeed a MAJOR part of it, if not the biggest reason, by far, that people come to Disney. We are all disappointed when they're closed, but I did not see any whining, threats to not go, or absurd requests to cancel refurbishments. Put all the parks together, and you have about 120 to 150 attractions, including parades and fireworks shows. A certain percentage will always be under major refurbishment that forces a closure. Some of these will be on major attractions. That's life.

An emotionally healthy person will acknowledge it, maybe pout a little, then move on. Gee, isn't that what the original poster did?

You're correct, except that that's not exactly what the original poster did. If she had written a whole new post saying, "You know after thinking about it, maybe it won't be so bad.", that would have been one thing. But she actually went back and changed what she had written in her original post in order to make it seem like she hadn't been as negative about it from the start. I just got a chuckle out of it. Of course, what she failed to take into account was that a few posters had already quoted her original post, so that was still out there for everyone to see what she had originally wrote.:hammer: That was funny.

Hi

Hey Don't feel bad about certain things being closed. Just go and be happy when you get there you will even forget about that. Enjoy the time at Disney. I always do

I love these posts. I understand the fustration but there is SOOO much to do that I would never cancel based on a ride closure. If I did that I would have never gone back after 20k got closed.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Welcome to the boards, but please realize that if someone made a new thread every time some attractions were closed while they were going, that's all that WDWMagic would consist of.

I guess most of the people on these boards would say that this glass is half full.

No, most people on this board would blame management for the quality of the glass. Then they would complain that the water is not wet enough. After that the would claim that the water was wetter and the glass was glassier 20 years ago.

There is always something good closed when we are there, but that's progress! They can't refurb and leave the rides open. I'm glad they try to keep the park in tip-top shape. Just enjoy the magic!!!
