Uponastar's Family Celebration Vacation Oct. 17-25

Here goes...
The six of us left from Philly International on Friday night October 17th.
All of us are celebrating special occasions this month:
George and I...our 35th anniversary Oct. 27th
Our daughter Lauren and her husband Ken...their first anniversary Oct. 6th
Our daughter Stacey...her 27th birthday Oct. 31st (Halloween)
Stacey's longtime boyfriend Ray...his 26th birthday Oct. 18th
Needless to say, we were very much looking forward to a week-long celebration.

George and I, since we go to WDW fairly often, always stay cheaply outside the park. This time we rented a townhouse in a Kissimmee development. It suited our needs perfectly!

A very crowded evening in the World Showcase to come later.
Before I go for now, I'd just like to say that being at WDW when the home team is playing in the World Series is an AMAZING experience. Most of us wore Phillies gear every day and the interaction between fellow Phillies fans and opposing team fans in the parks was much fun!
Stacey and Ray...the most serious Phillies fans of all of us...went to ESPN on the opening night of the Series to watch the game. They had a blast!
A wonderful experience they'll never forget.

In addition to Jeffrey, the wonderful CM from the Liberty Belle, we have a few others we'd like to give special thanks to.

First, our neighbor across the hall is from Italy. She moved here four years ago from a small village near Naples called Montillo. Every time we visit Italy in the World Showcase, we ask if any of the CMs are from that region. If there is one working, we ask if we can call our neighbor on our cell and have the CM chat with her while we take a picture. They're always glad to do it and it makes our neighbor happy to hear from someone from home.
So...this is Aldo...Talking to our neighbor and friend Rossella.

Secondly, the skippers on the Jungle Cruise are a special bunch and this trip we were lucky enough to get Sean as our skipper. He did a great job and deserves special mention...

Lastly, this gang on Main Street USA made our last morning very special. They spent a long time with us and even announced to everyone on the street that we were their favorite family of the day!

Stacey and Ray had friends visiting the same week, and they got dressed for the party.
Originally they were going to be the characters from Clue, but at the last minute decided on the cast of Gilligan's Island.

The Everest pics, for instance, are his.
And the pic of Renata outside the Haunted Mansion...his again.
He's the photographer in the family, so I should give him due credit. :D

I was right across the street in this photo (that is if this is the first parade of the night, the second parade we watched from back by Splash)! I was standing on the planter, under the white overhang on the far left hand side of this photo. Wasn't the weather wonderful that night? We had so much fun!

Yes, it was the first parade!
Are you visible in this pic?

It was a perfect night in every way, including the weather.
We've been to previous parties that were impossibly crowded, but at this one, we walked on to just about every attraction.

We took the same photo, I wonder if we were right in the same area all night and never knew it? Too funny. Your picture is much better than mine, Doc kept standing in the way of Grumpy and then the CM kept saying "one picture please" so I gave up and moved on.....

I am not visable in the pic....at least that I can see. You posted one other pic that is of Snow White and the Dwarfs and we took that exact picture too....I wonder if we were behind you or next to you all night?

Actually, in the space between Dopey and Snow there was little boy in this pic. I Photoshopped him out. :D

Funny how you were there and so was I.
Who knew?

I have pics of other people in my photos too, I never thought about photo shopping them out! Good idea!
