And no, there isn't much room to make Steamboat Willie any larger.....

If only the WDW show had less water screens and used more live action, and had something else instead of pocahontis.....

DL's is better, the one time i saw it and i can remember most of it....

Can someone point out all the differences between the shows at both parks?

The reason is, if Disneyland is so much better, then why have I been waiting 2 hours to see the Disney/MGM version?

It's kinda like which is better: God or God?

I mean, they are BOTH AWSOME, but DL edges out in two areas:

-Peter Pan fight using Columbia and their other ship amazing.
-The location is on the tip of Tom Sawyer Island and it adds to the theme of the place.

The only problem with that is transition time. From what I can remember, there are multiple people who play each part, but not on the same night. Therefore, there is overlapping of casting during a show where one person can be two or three characters. The water segments are a transition phase where those actors can change and get in their next spot for their next que.

Also, the pond behind the stage is not very large and can't hold/hide a much bigger boat, especially when it shares with the three princess barges and the motorized pocohontas canoes.

Correct me if I am wrong in any of these things please.:hammer:

Agreed on both points. Also, the Mark Twain is SO much larger and more impressive than Steamboat Willie, especially if you're right along the edge of the water and looking straight up at it. You can't help but be impressed by it.

True, but WDW uses them much more than DL. If DL can get away with less time using the mist screens, I'm sure there's ways that WDW could do it.

Is it just me, or does Disneyland have better attractions than WDW? I'm just talking about rides that are the same. For example, many people say PotC is better in DL. I've never been to DL for, so I can't say. Is that really true?

It really depends on which attraction you're talking about. PotC here - MUCH better. It's longer, two drops that are bigger than the one in WDW. Much more of the story is told here. Winnie the Pooh here is awful, and the lines show it - 5 minutes over Memorial Day weekend. Splash and the Mansion here I think are about equal to WDW. I liked our Space Mountain here before, just cause it had music (or sometimes had music, I guess ), but that's long closed. Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder are about even here, as are the Fantasyland rides in both parks. I like our IASW better, though, with the whole Mary Blair exterior. :)

I agree with virtually everything you said except for Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

When I rode DL's Splash mountain mere weeks ago, I was quite disappointed. The story wasn't nearly as coherent and the pacing was off. Still a great ride, but I think MK's is a clear winner.

Big Thunder Mountain is a very close call, but MK's has several more animatronics and an additional scene. However, I do have to give props to DL's queue, as it's far better.

BTMR I didn't feel was different just cause when I'm on it, I'm having just as much fun in both parks, that I don't even notice if WDW's has more to it. I agree on the queue part, though, I love DL's queue. But DL's does have the goat trick. :D Youo can do it at WDW, but I find that it works better here. ;)

WDW's Splash is a bit longeer, but it always seemed to me that some of the stuff they put in at WDW (the extended How Do You Do scene) seemed a bit unneeded. At DL, I really love the rabbits singing as you go up the lift hill. :)

Ah, you all must be ejumicated in the ways of the goat trick! Just after the second lift hill, there is a goat off to the side. You turn your head to keep watching the goat as you go around the turn, and you get thrown around. :) It's a well-known trick here at Disneyland. :)

I never realized that a thread like this could go in such a different direction...not that it is a bad thing.:hammer:
