You sound very confident but not very convincing. My vote is still for LOTR assuming the OP has actually provided authentic info.
I was not stating I knew. I was just stating that I have not seen any liscencing agreements with time warner , new line cinemas (time warner is their parent company),or the tolkein estate.
So unless we hear of one soon then I dont think it will be lotr. Thats all I am stating.
Pirates has the treasure that turned you into skeletons. Heck they could redo the movie ride with jack sparrow as one of the hosts. So dont rule out pirates of the carribean yet.
Why is everybody so confident on lotr? they would have to pay some big bucks for the liscence for that and would not be worth it for one scene in the great movie ride. A whole ride atleast would have to be designed for it.
Just look at all the trouble new line is going through just to make the hobbit into a movie.
Ps it looks like tokien wanted disney to have nothing to do with lotr
"He went on to criticise the script scene by scene ("yet one more scene of screams and rather meaningless slashings"). But Tolkien was in principle open to the idea of a movie adaptation. He sold the film, stage and merchandise rights of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings to United Artists in 1968, while, guided by scepticism towards future productions, he forbade Disney should ever be involved:
"It might be advisable [...] to let the Americans do what seems good to them — as long as it was possible [...] to veto anything from or influenced by the Disney studios (for all whose works I have a heartfelt loathing)."
