Wow when I saw Up on Sat. I didnt see The Princess and the Frog trailer or a short :(. Was the short good. Im kinda upset now because I paid 16.50 a piece for each Ticket (2 Adult & 1 Child $9) to watch the movie in 3D and I didnt see the latest pixar short :(

I did see the Toy Story 3 trailer, it was very cute. I can not wait to watch Toy Story 1,2, & 3 in 3D :p

No Up attractions are planned at this time, but within the this year we should have Mr. and Mrs. Fredricksen's house floating in the sky at a point you can see from Pixar Place.

You should be displeased - the animated short is very good and now you'll have to wait for the DVD!

Why? At movie's end, the house was shown to be in a fixed location not in the air. I'll admit that sounds cool enough. :)

Same reason Ariel appears as a mermaid at times...

Experiences in Disney Parks often involve Disney stories at points other than the conclusion.

oh, no doubt. Is that intended to be a long term addition, or just an attention grabber during the run of the movie?

People, please stop jumping to these conclusions that every existing Disney attraction is going to be rethemed to a Pixar movie? Especially some of the most successful attractions? The Living Seas does not count... it was not popular.
"The movie was too long" - Layman's criticism for "I don't really watch films, I watch Trailers."
:brick::lol:

This is a call to all filmmakers: Make your films as long as they need to be to tell the story right.
Yes, definitely. Anyone who thinks UP was too long has the attention span of a child... whom, by the way, are NOT the only audience Pixar makes films for.

Same, and they showed the Toy Story 3 preview, but not the PatF trailer. Sounds like all 3 very per theater and it's all about luck which ones you see.

Yep. We saw it in 3-D and saw the short (cute...poor stork!) and the Toy Story 3 teaser, but did not see the PatF trailer. I thought it was interesting to see Slinky Dog back for the 3rd movie, though...

Ok.
And one more question... there is no 3-D facility too close to us. Do you think we should drive the half and hour to go to a theater in 3-D, or drive 5 minutes to see the 2-D showing???

I saw it in 3D and it was nice, but I don't think it was necessary. You know how some 3D movies purposely throw things at you to make you jump. This wasn't like that. Sure the 3D added depth and there were some especially scenic shots that the 3D was a plus, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra $3 per person we paid.

I loved the short but thought that Presto was better. (The magician and the rabbit)

I thought Presto was absolutely hilarious, maybe their best. Although I love all of them my favorites are Presto and Lifted. Of all their shorts the only one I thought was kinda "meh" was "Your Friend the Rat" that they added to the Ratatouille movie. Great movie, though.

Oh, and on a less sunny note... the trailer for "The Princess and the Frog" looks like a load of crapola.

Question then for everyone...

How many people have thought that some of the past teaser trailers for Disney/Pixar movies seemed like they were going to be complete flops... yet you were proved several times over that one cannot judge a complete work from small snippets?

Nemo was like that for me. I saw the trailers and they inspired zero desire for me to see the movie. I went simply because it was a Pixar movie and they had earned the benefit of the doubt and ended up loving the movie.
