I know I heard they were on "vacation indefinitely", but has anyone seen them at all? I really fell in love with UP and was so excited to see Carl, Russell and Dug on my trip. I know it's a long shot but any luck??

Weren't they moved to AK a while ago?
Nope the move never happened
I didn't know that. Have any Disney characters from the 2000s stuck around for long after their movie's release? Stitch is the only one coming to mind.

I'm unsure if you meant just Disney, or Disney/Pizar, but... Both Lilo and Stitch are still around. I can't see McQueen or Mater going anywhere anytime soon, ditto with Tianna. Nemo is represented in EPCOT (The Seas, as well as Turtle Talk) and DAK, again, can't see them going anywhere. Sully and Mike are still around in DHS, and if rumors are true, about to get their own coaster.
To your point though, i see what you mean, Giselle didn't last long. I'm really interested to see with the new movie release, if Rapunzel will have any staying power. My guess would be no, with the popularity of Tink and Tianna
I know there was discussion on here that the Pixar Movies that had a bit of a more mature story line to them didn't seem to see as much success in the parks, like UP and WALL-E. To me, I understand why UP could not have the most success being that much of the base of the story is dealing with grief and loss. But I would think that the thought of "Adventure is out there!" could be worked into both Adventure Land and Animal Kingdom. I hope they fix the costume issues soon! I heard they are going to be in next year's Pixar Calvacade.
