Up Attraction Idea

I know that this should go in Imagineering, but nobody ever comments in there, so I'll put it here so hopefully people will read this...

Anyway, I saw Up today and thought it was an amazing film in every way. Definitely one of the best films Pixar has ever made. It is a film that would make an excellent attraction, so here's my pitch for a ride based on Up...

Title: Journey Up
Ride system: Peter Pan's Flight System
Ride storyline: Basically you will get to live out the general plot from the movie. Guests will board vehicles that look like couches with balloons attached. Each vehicle will seat two rows of up to 3 guests per row. Guests will journey from the beginning of the film all the way to South America with Carl and Russell. I would like to incorporate several special effects such as clouds while the vehicles are flying above ground, smells from each area, advanced animatronics and really putting the guests into an animated world. I'd also like to see image capture incorporated so guests can see themselves as part of the world of Up.
Prefered Location: The first places that come to mind as far as where to locate this attraction would be Magic Kingdom in either Fantasyland or Adventureland or Hollywood Studios in Pixar Place. Adventureland seems like the best spot for this ride, but I'd rather see it at Hollywood Studios because they really don't have any traditional style dark rides there, at all.

So, sound like a good consept idea?

I just saw Up on Saturday and it was awesome!

But now that I'm really into the parks and all (as compared to as a small child, watching Disney movies), all I can think of while watching is "how can this become an addition to a park???"

That's a good idea.
I think it would be cooler to be in a ride vehicle that resembles a house more than a couch with the balloons attached.
And they must encounter Kevin, Doug, the dogs and Charles Muntz along the way!

Of course. I didn't want to go into the plot for those who haven't seen the film, but of course you'll meet everyone along the way.

I'd like it in Adventureland more then in the studios, just because a facade based on Paradise Falls and the cliffs would be a great new visual icon for the area.

Here is an idea if it was going into Pixar Place.

Have several animatronic dogs in the queue that, with the help of their talking collars, talk to guests and interact much like Mr. Potatohead.

I like that idea.
That is pretty easily done. I can actually see it being a nice addition to DHS if the Backlot Tour area is added to Pixar Place. If the tour was removed and all of that area became part of Pixar Place, I can see an Up ride and maybe Radiator Springs Racers being major additions.
