Unsure about Akershus

Because Belle is my favorite princess, I have ADRs for an Akershus during our Disneymoon. We won't do breakfast because my fiance is not a breakfast person... Cinderella's Royal Table is also in our plans, but I know that Belle is in her blue dress at that dinner, which was why we had picked Norway as well. However, there's been some discussion about the less-than-desirable food there, so now I'm not sure. Would it be in my best interest to find her at a M&G around one of the parks and just wait for a picture instead of wasting a dinner? I know there are some amazing restaurants in Epcot and I'd hate to settle on something gross... What would you do?

Well, I've been there and its not the best cuisine, however its not really as bad as some make it to be either. If you've never been there, then try it. That way you make your own assessment and you get the pic with Belle. You can look at the menus at:

www.allears.net

Then go under dining. Try it out for yourself and at least you'll know from experience whether you like it or not. ;)

I do have the menus, I was mostly going off of what others have said about the restaurant, especially over the last couple days. But if you guys say try it, perhaps we'll try it! ;)

We have been 4 times, one breakfast which is average and 3 dinners! We prefer it to CRT!

We went last year for dinner and I wasn't dissappointed at all.......free pictures were great.

We didn't book again this year because it's Epcot..(so many choices)....but I'd have no problem going again.

Excellent! You're definitely a reputable source in my book. ;) We are going to CRT because, well, it's the castle and we've never eaten there. It's on my Disney bucket list!

Good to hear some positive reviews. I think we'll probably keep it. :)

Exactly i understand that with CRT, we have been twice and dont feel any need to go back!

Akershus has a great meat, salads and bread buffet along with some nice entrees and free photos :D

We love Akershus. IThe food has has always been good. The character interaction is phenomenal. Even if it's just adults, the Princesses stay and spend time at the tables.

We love it as well!! I do think it mostly because my prinecsses "grew up" there and CRT. We have only had the breakfast.

I like the cold bar a lot, and I think the entrees are average but not bad. Last time we went, I had the pork tenderloin and found it to be the best entree I've tried there.

I don't eat pork... Any other yummy, un-fried meats on the menu?

its breakfast is better than its dinner, but its dinner is just "average" at best. You might want to save your money and just wait for a pic, especially since you are already doing cinderellas royal table :)

My family did this 2 years ago. The photo package was nice. The food while not my favorite was not terrible either. The appitizer buffet was really good tho. My wife also loves Belle so thats why we went there. Like others have said its worth at least one try.
