Unpopular WDW Opinions

By that logic, it's probably time to replace the entire attraction.
It's called "unpopular opinions" for a reason. I don't think depicting a woman being sold into slavery, presumable to be raped and tortured by pirates afterwards is a good idea to show in a Disney ride, especially when the park's primary demographic is children. But I understand why a lot of adults like this scene.

I don't disagree with what you said except I must have missed the part about the slavery, rape and torture. The entire ride was fiction, it was an auction for a "wife", presumably legal, if you discount the fact that a pirate would buy anything that they could just take. I can see adults going, at least semi, in the direction that you added to the story-line, but, I seriously doubt kids would ever see it as anything other then a cartoon gag.

I don't think it is bad that they changed it, but, lets keep the imagination to a "G" level. I don't believe a single child ever left the ride with wench raping on their minds.

I already posted some of mine but remembered another one I feel strongly about.

Not sure if this opinion is exactly unpopular - I think Navi River Journey is extremely lackluster and sort of a yawnfest and very uneventful. Definitely not worth more than a 15-minute wait.

That's a pretty common opinion, actually, but I agree with you nonetheless.

Careful, you are using logic and common sense! LOL - I agree totally. My kids and grandkids never had a thought about any of that; it was just a ride they loved with a wife auction. Come on, folks!

Space Mountain is not a good roller coaster.
Tomorrowland, other than TTA & CoP, is nothing special.
I like MM+, FP+, Magic Bands and the DDP.
Turkey legs and churros are not that great.
Disney Springs is boring.
There are way too many M&Gs.

I agree with much of this, but how do you have too many Meet and Greets? That is sorta like saying there are too many water fountains.

The ones that kind of clog up the walking paths in the parks are the ones I am mainly referencing. Maybe the fact that I have had to wait in some of those M&G lines in the past with my DD has something to do with it. Also, removing attractions and replacing them with a M&G space (ie Snow White)-not a great use of space in my opinion.

New bump new opinions:

- Disney Springs is a weird name and Downtown Disney was better (haven't been to DS yet so withholding judgement on actual theme)
- I think it's fine (actually preferable) that Galaxy's Edge is going into DHS
- Future World should be bulldozed entirely and re-done (except SSE)
- Pandora was/is a terrible idea
- There's nothing wrong with the American Pooh rides and the only reason people trash them is because they unfairly compare them to Hunny Hunt, which is an entirely different ride system altogether. (Monsters Inc. at DCA is also in this boat)

Non-WDW opinions:
- Disney should charge stroller admission
- Nobody is in any position to tell Disney they should raise their wages
- Alcohol in castle parks is the worst sin that Disney has committed in the past several years, worse than IP replacements or price gouging
- Disney Sea is overrated
- It isn't possible for any international parks to be better than DL or WDW, simply because they are not in America
- Character encounters at most Disney parks kind of suck now because of how tightly controlled they are
- Tokyo has the best HM worldwide and maybe Pirates too
- Sinbad at Disney Sea is cool but people obsess over it too much, also the original version was way better
- Galaxy's Edge should have been a recognizable, established Star Wars location instead of a new one

Strollers should be limited to single-seat umbrella-style.
I just returned from an eight night trip, and I think I found the solution.

Ban outisde stroller rentals. 98% of the problems with strollers are idiots who rent them and then don't know how to work them. The City Mini side-by-side double strollers are the biggest problem on the buses as well as the walking paths. They're way too big and they don't fold up efficiently AT ALL, but they seem to be the most common rental you see.

Honestly, there's no reason to allow rentals. If you're renting a stroller, it means you're not bringing your own stroller to the airport, and if you don't need a stroller in the airport, you don't need a stroller at Walt Disney World.

Also, for TSA, they shouldn't allow any stroller that doesn't fit through the baggage scanner. I traveled with a double stroller and it fit through the scanner no problem, but stupid people traveling with joggers can't even fit their singles through.

Only allow our own rentals in the parks.
Those are the biggest / worst / most obnoxious ones. It solves your problem of strollers on the bus, but it makes the parks worse. Every single time I've been run over by a stroller, it's by someone using a Disney rental. They have a false front that makes it very difficult to judge where the thing ends and when you're going to hit somebody. You want people using their OWN strollers as much as possible because they understand how to use them.

Similar problem... have you ever driven out of MCO at night time? The amount of people who don't bother to turn the lights on in their rental cars is terrifying.

Downtown Disney was a far superior name. Unless there are some springs in Disney Springs. Are there some springs? Like in Hot Springs Arkansas.

If our society was set up so that we didn't support underpaid people via taxes, I would agree with you. Notice I did not even go into what is or is not a living wage. Just that we are all paying for these low wages, so it becomes our business.

Agree with all of this.

I would have agreed with you prior to my 2015 trip with a 45.75” 5 year old in 105-106 degree Real Feel.

See above. Not all of us can handle walking around with kids on our shoulders. A stroller is nice when needed, late evenings or some periods during the day. HOWEVER, if someone does bring a stroller for a scenario like I mentioned above, leave the stroller parked for most of the day, only use when necessary.
That's our plan for October 2018 with a 5yo. He goes to bed at 7pm each night at home and since we travel from UK and can only do every 2 years then me and husband aren't going to bed for 7pm and not getting the most out of our holiday when he could be napping in a stroller for a few hours whilst we wander and enjoy our holiday!

I don't mind Brazilian tour groups as much as some of you do. Their enthusiasm is infectious. Think of it this way--their singing turns real life into a Disney musical!

The only time I almost minded was when I wanted a turkey leg in the MK. There were something like 18 people in this group and they bought 18 legs. Of course, I was there when the last of the group was buying their legs. Luckily when it was my turn, the CM told me they had three left. Whew, they dodged a beat down, I want my damn turkey leg. I guess if it was sold out, I could have gone to another cart, buts lets not start using logic here, its no fun.

Confession: I like Hollywood Studios more than Animal Kingdom. I hate the realistical dirty feel of Animal Kingdom, I prefer my parks idealized and not look like it’s rotting before my eyes, thank you very much. The attractions at Hollywood Studios are generally better at least last time I went (August 2016) so I’m not sure how the 2 would fare together now that the GMR is closed and Pandora has opened.
