Unpopular opinions about the parks?

Realizing there are exceptions to every rule, different strokes, etc...
  • 7-8 days is the sweet spot for a visit. Anything under feels too short. Anything over feels too much.
  • Offsite resorts aren't worth it; the bubble is the appeal
  • WDW Transportation enhances the experience (yes, even buses)
  • FP+ rocked
  • Magic Kingdom Resorts provide the worst value / are the most inconvenient for visiting MK (unless you're into walking)

Tokyo Disneyland's untextured pathways are superior to the textured pathways at TDS or most newer themed areas at Disney theme parks. They feel better to walk on and are easier to keep clean. Dyed concrete is the best possible hardscape material for a theme park walkway.

As long as they are not slippery when wet I am all for untextured.

Unpopular opinion about the forum rather than the parks: the Katiebug thread is overrated.

The "New" Figmund is terrible.
The "New" Test Track is terrible.
Taking down "World of Motion", bad idea.
Minnie Vans, really?
Demise of the Magical Express bad idea.
The "new" Las Vegas-styleless mega-hotels, a bane on the low landscape.
The "New" Reedy Creek Improvement District is allowing Route 192 to turn into a dilapidated wasteland because it is neglected over Disney.

Ah, this thread is supposed to be about unpopular opinions 😉
