I did a search on this and found nothing so I thought I would post this. I was At WDW last weekend to ride EE and while there bumped into one of my old friends who happend to be an area manager at Epcot. He said that it was a for sure thing that Universe of Energy would be going to seasonal opperation. With TT in re-hab that would mean that that side of future world would only have one open attraction.

Nooooo, and I mean Nooooo, I really hope that this is untrue, this is one of my, if not my favourite attraction at Epcot. I really hope this is not true. :fork:

It wouldn't make sence to switch UoE over to Seasonal and only have 1 attraction open on that side of Epcot while TT is closed. It would be more logical, once TT is finished with its rehab. Either way, I hope that this doesn't come true.

That is right, with Wonders of Life down and Test Track going down, this would not be a smart move.

Has there been any attractions ever to go into Seasonal Operations and then one day become fully operational again? I know carousel of Progress has been open now for quite a while does anyone know if this is still classed as Seasonal or is it fully operational?

I cant think of 1 at all. Mike Fink Keelboats, 20K, Wonders of Life, Timekeeper, Skyway all went Seasonal and we know what kind of fates these attractions met.

Didnt here this at Epcot

I work at Epcot on a Seasonal Basis and I was there for a week just recently. I heard nothing of the sort and I work in future world. Nothing on the portal, nothing on the telecast.

I totally agree with you. Did Exxon pull its sponsorship ? They can't do this to UofE !
Yer Exxon Mobile pulled out over two years ago I think, Disney left all the signage and references there for ages after and then removed them the year before last I think. (If memory serves correct.)

I wish you were right, however, I got to actually see a memo sent over disney communications via a blackberry two way device, about said changes.

Sad day when Disney can't keep its rides open all year.

Maybe they will change their minds, we can all be hopefull

I was once "informed" that the Animal Kingdom was going to only operate 5 out of 7 days a week. This was by someone proclaiming to have inside information directly from the Walt Disney World Co.

I wonder if DAK is open tomorrow or not...

Well, the UoE pavillion has widely been rumored to be replaced... most think it would be with a Monster's Inc. ride.

When is the Test Track re-hab and what will be done during the rehab?

COP wasn't for about a year, but recently it has been put back on the list. However, it has yet to close since that change.
