Universal UK?

I think it's safe to quietly close this topic. Nothing is getting built here in my opinion.

Have they even made a planning application? Even at that stage you are looking at centuries for the UK planning laws to start (they have bat crazy laws like if they find bats, or any sort of wildlife you are committed to protecting them and must build around them etc). And it appears they haven't even made any sort of application.

Nothing get's built in the UK anymore. It's a struggle to remember even the last major build project.

You also were insistent that Epic construction would be abandoned in the middle of it being built. This will likely be a very lengthy process and I have every expectation even once shovels are in the dirt and they've started selling tickets that you'll be claiming they'll abandon it any day now. My expectations are currently somewhere in the 2030-35 range. About 10 years for something like this given the regulatory and business environment seems about right.

Nonsense.

My point in Epic Universe being delayed was valid, and Universal themselves admitted stalling the project was a mistake.

Epic would have now been open, and Universal would be reeping the benefits, instead of having two parks that have seen a fall in attendance (due in my opinion most of the investment in high quality attractions being deferred to Epic, and rightly so). Had Epic been open now, those parks would also be thriving.

No mustering up or complete nonsense, it was in the budget last month: https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-news/east-west-rail-update-after-30269806

So you got a rail line. Wait till that line gets mired in years of delay.

The point being when will Universal even submit a proposal or any sort of plans as to what they want to do ? You don't just tease something then go away for a year. It appears a closed booked to me, and judging by most commentary from the UK coming back with horrendous planning rules i can't blame them.

Here's the masterplan: https://orlandoparkstop.com/news/th...ritain-master-plans-for-uk-theme-park-resort/
There have been public meetings about the theme park: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cz5zd5vg01yo
They've met with the government about their plans: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqqlnyne59lo

That’s the tune you changed to after you were finally convinced that yes, there was a park being built, well into obvious construction that everyone had to keep pointing out was happening in the update photos.

An extended timeline into the 2030s is something that shouldn’t be unexpected with this project, so you’ll have to be patient yet again and let the process play out. The process of course still includes the chance the project might not be approved by the government, but I doubt Universal will be the ones backing out unless that becomes the foregone conclusion at this point.

Didn't we see the same 'stay patient' for that big huge theme park planned in London from Paramount Pictures? How did the end up?

There was no change to any tune. Construction of Epic Universe should never have been stopped. The state of Florida allowed all construction to continue. Comcast i believe have come out and confirmed they should have continued the construction.

My point was they delayed and delayed, and in the end it's hurting them now -- as their current parks have lacked any major big investments, which has seen a decline in attendance.
