Universal strikes back again?

[/B]And I believe the studies that say people are calmer when dressed-up, but I can garantee you that study wasn't done on teenagers. We will mess it up no matter what, we really don't care. I think that is why Disney is toning down their dress-code; because they figured that out. [/B]

If teenagers are just going to go in there and mess things up anyway, let them go to Universal! What is the big deal? Disney probably doesn't even want them in the parks if all they are going to do is mess things up. Or like that one person posted, he saw them trying to rip the gargoyles off of the Haunted Mansion. If they just want a few cheap thrills and to destroy property, let them go somewhere else.

What hurt him the most was that there were destructive kids that were pulling on the gargoyles in the "mansion" and fights and he said he HATED that because he was brought up on Disney and to see people trying to ruin it just ed him off. They should reduce the number of schools that go so that the schools that are there can enjoy it more. The dress code didn't help because of the destructive nature of some of the kids. His school was from New York and was complimented by the park on being one of the most behaved schools there. Even at the hotels, they were good. It totally killed him though to see the destructive attitude of some kids. He said to me you can tell they weren't brought up on Disney.
This also ed me off! I was in IASW (surprisingly relaxing at 3am) and a boat in front of us was trying to rock the the boat and splashing eachother w/the water. That was just the least of it. Not only were they trying to destroy things, they were walking around hooting and hollering like a Brazilian group.
This is when I got the stigma (around my friends) as being the "disney geek"

I don't think that makes you a "Disney geek" it makes you a considerate person and I applaud you for that! :sohappy:

Perhaps saying that you were brave would be more appropriate then? lol, at any rate, I respect what you did and I am sure many others on this board do as well.

I also read this article too. I wouldn't worry though, we could probably get alot of money out of them, for stealing Disney's Idea, I think?

I guess the best thing out of this competition with Universal is that it keeps Disney on its feet...something they didn't have before in Orlando, IOA changed everything...so I think Disney will continue to keep putting out great attractions and coming out with great ideas that Universal would want to COPY and incorporate into its theme parks (after all Disney created the themepark in the first place:animwink: , who wouldn't copy them ). I'd prefer that each company stick to being original in the future though...but hey thats life.:hammer:
