In general IOA just seems so much less crowded than USO.
walk on for spider man and hulk??

Based on what I have seen on FB in the PH community, it alternates. There were times when IOA was really busy. Just this morning I saw a very distinct lack of social distancing (and many unmasked people) inside the Hagrid's queue.

Honest question, if people wearing masks why can’t they load every row?

Everyday masks which would be used in the parks are only effective when used in conjunction with social distancing, ie, keeping 6ft or more apart. They only protect others from your coughs; they offer you very limited protection from others so the further you can stay away the better. If you have to get close you should be using a higher grade medical mask which is more expensive and must be fitted to you face.

But I do believe this topic has been raised and discussed numerous times alreday - both here and in the news..

I must say my visit was a blast. The social distancing for lines is quirky but interesting. To me it was like playing red light green light. When its moving everyone tries to keep distance while moving along. When the line suddenly stops people move to the spot where they are supposed to stop. The resulting starts and stops results in people constantly losing their spot where they need to stop. I played this game at one point with a couple and they got a good laugh out of it. The waits were pretty much not too different from standard fare but I like universal taking the initiative with virtual ques. It reminds me of when they use to have a fast pass system before the express pass. Good times. I just wish the weather had cooperated a bit better. It sort of gets me excited to see how busch gardens will be next week. No doubt the lorikeets will be so very eager to see people again.

Now all they need is numbers on each spot and random trinkets lll

Are there Express Passes still for their Deluxe Resorts and for purchase? Were those lines still very short? Thank you for letting me know.

Universal Express will be available for purchase beginning June 8. Hotel guests staying at Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort will be also able to take advantage of their Universal Express access benefit on any day of their visit. Those with Express Pass will use that designated line.

I also heard that while you now need to make reservations at Ollivanders for the Wand Choosing Ceremony, it is now personal (just for your party) and you get to decide who in your party is "chosen" for the experience. My son is super excited about this. He has visited many, many times in the past and was never chosen. He just turned 11. This is now the new highlight of our upcoming trip and a very nice silver lining with the pandemic changes.

Quick report on my experience.
For anyone curious, I went to Universal this evening. The low waits on the app and the empty pictures I saw online were enough to entice me.

5:30 arrival into Universal Studios. Grabbed a Gringotts virtual queue at 5:25 good beginning at 5:40. Walked right into Gringotts with no line whatsoever, we skipped both preshows. I sat in row 1 and another single rider sat in row 3, that was the entire car.

Walked straight into ET, I sat in row 3 while two others sat in row 1. There were 2 entering behind me and that was it.

Used my Express Pass for Mummy, which wasn't really needed but hey. I was the only one in the Express queue and had my own personal Mummy ride. Finished it off a few minutes before close with my own personal ride of MiB.

It was raining pretty good the last hour which likely contributed to the low crowds, but it wasn't even close to the level I saw for the AP days. I'm interested to see how the weekend goes but it was so good to be back and get my theme park fix.
