What's the new event?

I thought the rumor flying around was some sort of expansion on holidays in the park. I'm not sure what that means, but Alicia Stella did allude to something maybe happening. I'm hoping it's something like walk-through HHN houses, but holiday themed and obviously not scary. In 2020 when they didn't host their Macy's parade, I liked the walk-through exhibit in one of the sound stages where you could see the floats and meet characters from afar. I think expanding on that concept into a full day time event would draw a lot of people in.

A lot of people have been comparing HTTYD Land with Toy Story Land, and on paper, (a 2 launch Family Coaster, a flat, and a main attraction, ((TSMM/Dragons theater show)), and multiple dining locations) they seem comparable. But, HTTYD Land will also have EXTENSIVE rock work, large water features, Viking Boats with sails and rigging, and fire. Oh, and a themed play area and a water/boat ride.

Be honest, does Toy Story Land compare?

I am so waiting to compare the facade of the HTTYD land Great Hall restaurant with the facade of the BBQ place in TSL.

The Great Hall awaiting rock work.

TSL is simple fun but the theming is whatever. If HTTYD can atleast reach that simple fun level (it probably will), it'll easily top TSL on theming alone.

But it has aged poorly since then. It needs to go, too.

The Hollywood version was trash in comparison tho...

The Mummy is the least of USF's problems.
I agree.

I think Simpsons land, Fast and Furious- Super charged, empty fear factor live area, and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit needs to be addressed way before the mummy.

I think Simpsons land is almost an automatic at this point being addressed due to the theme park rights contract expiring in 2028 unless Disney sells the Simpsons IP. I know universal has Harry Potter plans with Fear Factor Live area that were scrapped, but that former attraction area still needs to be addressed.

I’m sure they’ll get to all that after DreamWorks Land, Epic Universe, and the Lost Continent projects are complete...

It's the best ride at USF and nothing else is even close, except maybe E.T.

Mostly agree but in totality Gringotts is superior to Mummy due to its 9 or 10 lifelike goblins in the queue and even though it has very limited tangible show scenes the few it does have are very good(just way too many screens really hurt). Gringotts also has a thrilling and well executed climax.

Gringotts? IMO that has the most lackluster climax. It feels like the biggest coaster element should happen and it just ends.

For whatever reason I appreciate Gringotts more and more every time I ride it. Definitely greater than the sum of it's parts. The music at the end is *chef's kiss* and that's coming from someone with no nostalgia for the franchise.

Gringotts is great, but its ending is very anti-climatic compared to the hot start. (Same with Rise, great start but the ending is a bit underwhelming IMO.)

I don't view Gringotts as a coaster, it's a dark ride that just happens to utilize a coaster system for some elements.

I am seeing far too many lazy off the shelf coasters, slap of paint, make a nice queue and call it 'whatever IP you want'. Universal are doing this lazy nonsense far too much now.

Where is the innovation ? Or is it making things on the cheap ?

Right, because all Epic is is coasters. I thought you said they weren't building the park at all?
