Any information on why this was canceled? And are they planning to add a second ride to the new Wizarding World (besides the Ministry ride)?

Nobody has ever done a virtual reality ride at this scale before. It would've been a staffing nightmare. Plus, it's rumored that UC didn't like where the ride was going so they cancelled it once and for all.

I thought the show was going into that space? Oh well, I guess "being left empty" means for now.

The second ride's plot won't be noticeably empty as it will be behind the city facades. It's exit shop is being built though and some speculate that it will come sooner than later as one of the first expansions to the park.

The show was always separate, not a replacement. It’ll actually be more centrally located. Hopefully it’s worth watching.
Yeah, I keep thinking of the shows at Diagon and Hogsmeade. Fun, but certainly not the sort of things to replace an entire attraction. The video posted said the show will be called "Circus Arcanus" (from Crimes of Grindelwald). Could be cool if it were a modified Cirque du Soleil type of thing.

I assume they will eventually add a second ride. All the other sections seem to have roller coasters. Imagine a broomstick themed roller coaster. They won't keep a massive space empty for long. Since the original was canceled, they probably just need time to design a new one.

Early in its development the broomstick ride was a roller coaster but even that just sort of becomes TRON.

Epic Universe Phase 2……

Proudly presented by Hulu sale proceeds
Comcast has $100B in debt. An amount that makes investors a bit nervous.

They're spending $6B on EU.

They'll be getting about $9B from Disney for Hulu, which will probably go immediately into servicing their debt.

Then they won't have Hulu income any more.

Hulu won't have Hulu income anymore.

Good thing investors are interested in long term investments and not quick snapshops.

Comcast's debt has shrunk considerably in the last year alone, and growth of profit will likely continue.
