Underrated: Olivia's (breakfast)
Went once for breakfast and was a little impressed, I liked it. Be careful, the banana rum French toast may make your head spin a little ;)

I agree about Olivia's - underrated. Had several nice smaller meals there - mostly lunches.

Overrated: Sci Fi Dine-In, although a lot of that had to with them seating a party of 2 behind us. If that had not happened I might think better of it.

Underrated: ESPN Club. I been there multiple times and it's always been a great experience and the food always tasted great.

ESPN club served some of the worse food I've had in my life.... Not even Applebee's level which is disgusting in its own right.

Was considering going to Prime Time, but I went many years ago...it gad been hyped up on the forums ....but I thought eh? Not so great. As for ones hyped that exceeded expectations I gotta say Jiko was amazing as well as the Hoop De Do Revue.
Any others?

I love Prime Time. Exquisite cuisine? No. Good comfort food. Yes. Also, get in the mood to interact with the servers. It's really fun.

Here is the La Hacienda dinner. It serves two. Its plenty for more than two. Sorry no sides here, but you will get corn and bblack beans (and plenty of it).

I think the place is underrated because so few talk about it and the food is consistently good. I dont think its as popular as San Angel Inn (which is inside Mexico) other than those that try to get an ADR around Illuminations (which we never did since we would rather watch from outside).

Enjoy!

Loved the food. It's a gamble going during Illuminations. You don't know where they will sit you in the restaurant. I found myself seated against the back wall craning my neck to peer through windows. Didn't work for me.

Underrated/overrated BOG breakfast? I have a tentative ADR there for November. Already had lunch and dinner there.

I'd agree with Liberty Tree... we did not make a reservation for their during our most recent trip and walked up one night because we didn't know where else to go. Hadn't heard much of this place, but was quite surprised by the time we finished eating! Definitely a place that didn't get much talk, but we'd go back there in a heartbeat! Coral Reef we heard mixed reviews and, after eating there, I'd say it met that expectation... in some regards it was good, but certainly not one of those "can't miss" meals. Boma (for breakfast) had really good reviews and I'd agree with them completely! Would definitely go back! Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, and California Grill all had REALLY high expectations. California Grill definitely met the expectation, the other two came close, but when the expectations are that high, anything less than perfect falls short.

I'm not a big fan of wanting to watch them from inside anyway. I'd rather be outside but im sure some like to take that chance and hope to get a window seat

Overrated was Via Napoli (and I went 2x)

Underrated is Shutters. I have had some great steaks and apps here.

I would agree with that only because I've read so many unflattering reviews about Shutters. We ate there for our last dinner before going home after staying at that resort, had low expectations, and it was great.

Love, love, love the Tune-In lounge next-door/connected. We always go at least once for lunch, sit at the bar and split a sampler (meat loaf, pot roast & fried chicken) from the Prime Time menu, and a no-sugar added cheesecake slice (which is no longer on the menu, but they still have it.) Julie the bartender is one of the best and most entertaining I've ever met (and I used to tend bar.) David is great as well.

For me, being a NYer, I'd say that everything Italian and Chinese is overrated. If you live in a big east-coast city, you're worst Italian and Chinese food is often better than the best everywhere else. I'm not saying it's bad in WDW, I'm just saying it's not something I'd order outside of the NY metro area.

Overrated - Cinderella's Royal Table (Applebee's-level food at astronomical prices), 'Ohana character breakfast

Underrated - Coral Reef (but only if you can get a table by the aquarium!), Biergarten (one of the best-quality buffets on property), Raglan Road (not so much underrated as simply "not well-known," but it offers just about the best food and live entertainment we've ever had at Disney), Tangeriene Cafe (a counter-service location with truly unique options, for adults anyway)

I'm from NJ, and I 100% agree with this statement.
