I couldn't agree more. I loved them when I was in my 20s, but as I've gotten older, they're just more and more annoying and crass.

The book DisneyWars gives a good history of the Eisner era and how he used Touchstone to make movies that just wouldn't fit under the Disney label.

Yes, precisely. Remember, Roy, Jr. was adamant that Disney movies continue to be the family oriented movies of Walt and his dad. Eisner knew audience tastes were shifting and Disney Studios would be left in the dust if it continued to only make G rated movies. The first Touchstone release was Splash. And Eisner did his best to keep it quiet that Touchstone was Disney.....

And for what its worth, Universal has handled the simpsons very well. The land is really really fun to walk through. Wish the flaming moe was a little more true to the story but overall it is fun for a simpsons fan to see.

Well, he kept it quiet for a while. But as time went on some of the more PG touchstone films got cross promoted in the parks, on the Disney Channel, in Disney stores, and on Wonderful World of Disney. Most people figured it out. :)

If this did happen I would release a collection of Don Bluth films (kinda like what they have done with Studio Ghibi films) as those are some of the finest non-disney American animated films out there

I guess this deal would make Anastasia a Disney Princess?
