Ugh: For all in countdown mode...

Hello. :brick:For all those WDWMAGIC members who are anxiously awaiting their WDW vacations and are in countdown mode using your trip countdown on the website to see how many days left. So silly of me I used that for everything, all my posts and such and never counted for myself. It turns out on the trip countdown for me it says 10 days which is accurate for 10 days until the day before my WDW vacation not 10 days until my actual vacation. I don't know if anyone else has down this but when my family and I went to start early check-in today because you can do it 10 days out it wouldn't let us because we are actually 11 days out from the day of our trip. Just a heads up so you don't get put down like we did today. Make sure that YOU physically count it before you get all excited. GRRRRR. Well on the upside it isn't coming too quickly now. :shrug:

P.S. This thread is in no way saying that the WDWMAGIC trip countdown is inaccurate. It is basically giving a heads up to the people who did not physically count down like me. Thanks. :wave:

I always count the day before anyways, because we live in Illinois and drive there, so we arrive the day after we hit the road. So, since I enjoy the road trip and consider that the beginning of the WDW trip, I always count the road trip day as day 1 of the trip and the day that I count to. For example, if we leave for WDW next year on April 18 and arrive on April 19, I count to April 18 when counting down how many days we have left.

That's why at first I wasn't thinking of it as totally inaccurate, but when we tried to do early check-in on the WDW website they do it differently and won't let you check in until you're 10 days out (by their website's countdown) so I was bummed. :lol:
