Immediately!!! Those were the days that the characters were able to walk freely and greet all the kids. There were no meet and greet lines! I have great pictures of myself (age 4) with all the characters as I sat in the infamous metal strollers they used to rent for $1.

Got married at Disney"s wedding pavilion in 2000, went 10 times to WDW that year!!!

Kadee ~ I took my Mom to WDW this past May and she LOVED it! She had not been in 30 years and and now she can't wait to go back. :sohappy: There was only MK in the 70s, so she was amazed by Epcot, MGM & AK. We plan to make it an annual event.
