Hmmm

I've read most of the post (one guy on here is a total idiot and probably doesn't have kids and probably never will .. and to be some what kind I will leave his screenname out)

I am a mother of a toddler she is 3 almost 4 ... she walks, talks, poops, and even dresses herself.... heck she knows how to dial 911 and tell a "mommy like me"(thats how we taught her) her name if she was ever to get lost .....

i feel that (my opinion don't get upset if you dont agree) for a parent to leave a child behind is simply not because they forgot but because they want to forget .... i can't help but wonder if you went though that much pain delivering the kid why or how in the HE$% you would forget them :brick:and come on they had other relatives with them ???? my grandmother would never let me forget my babygirl heck babygirl wouldnt let me forget her

i;m done

.

During Fireworks, you see kids climbing on trees, polls, bridges all while standing and it really es me off that I had to go shout at them for that.

i'm sorry i hate when parents don't keep their heathens in check ... and its almost worthless to holla at em esspecially when the idoit parents come back and ask why'd you yell at my kid ... well had you been around you would have seen they were destroying this or that ....

i had a mother come yell at me at our dance studio(back in FL) because i told her 2 boys to stop touching the trophies our girls worked very hard for them and we dont want them to break ... she had the nerve to tell me i have no right to talk to her childern well get out of my studio lady ....

Wow. My first thought upon previewing the post was "Wow, this happened again, and at the same ride?"

But then I saw the timestamp.

Ugh...stupid people. I remember we walked out of Wal-mart one day and it was the same kind of ordeal. Woman left baby in car, came back out, started crying and was arrested. It's sad to say I've seen this type of thing multiple times.

It sounds totally crazy and hard to believe that someone would do this, but I've seen it with my own eyes.
One night near closing right at the beginning of my CP on Splash, I was working Fastpass Return. I'd been busy talking to guests, but I finally had a lull in the crowd, and turned around to talk to my friend who was working the regular entrance. Instead, I noticed two toddlers tied to their umbrella strollers by their child leashes. I called my friend over to confirm that I wasn't imagining it. We were totally shocked. Neither one of us had any idea what to do. Their parents had left them there so they could ride the ride without doing a child swap. We ended up just standing there with the kids for a few minutes until the parents returned. If it had happened later on in my CP, I would've acted differently, but at that point I was still trying to figure the place out.
Another time, a single mother came up with her infant and an older child. When a CM told her that she would have to do a child swap, she said she didn't have anyone to leave the baby with. He apologized, and said that there was no way the baby could go on the ride. She then asked him if he would watch the baby. He told her that he couldn't do that. At that time, a large family (total strangers to her) walked by. This woman walked up to them, asked them if they would watch her infant for a while, and handed the kid over to go ride the ride. The CM she had been talking to was absolutely beside himself. He wanted to call child services. We didn't believe his story until we left the break room to go look for ourselves. The six or so of us were horrified.

Unfortunately, there are some people who just shouldn't be responsible for children...I'm actually surprised the kid sat there for so long before any CM or even a concerned guest noticed.

This is horrible! Who the f*** would leave their child in stroller in the blazing hot sun at DISNEY WORLD?! That is just HORRIBLE! And they say they left the child ACCIDENTALLY?! That's a bunch of bull! Who in the right mind would "accidentally" leave their toddler in a stroller and walk on the ride without a single thought about their child? BULL! BULL BULL BULL!

Sorry. This just angers me too much to describe. ><

Saying this was "accidental" is just as bad--who is that stupid?

In this day and age, leaving ones children unattended like that is a dangerous thing to do. How would they have felt if the child had disappeared? Who's fault would that of been? I feel sorry for the child but believe the parents need to be jailed and the child removed from their home. Definitely needs to be severe consequences for these people that 'forget' about their kids.

I have seen this at WDW before. I and a cast member kept an eye on her kids while she was away for 10 minutes. I had a few words with that mother.

I guess it just give all me something to watch out for when I am there. If I see a child w/out a parent around, I alert a cast member.
