Two parents were arrested after authorities found a lifeless child in a hot stroller outside Walt Disney World's Pirates of the Caribbean ride, according to an Orange County sheriff's report released Monday.
The parents, whose names were not released, left their 3-year-old girl in a stroller parked in the sun at the Magic Kingdom while they went on the ride Saturday afternoon at about 4 p.m. Deputies estimate the child was in the sun for between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The parents said they left the girl accidentally.
The girl recovered after being treated by Reedy Creek Fire Department paramedics.
The parents were arrested on counts of child abuse and booked into Orange County Jail. Their young children were taken into custody by the Department of Children and Families

If this is true the parents should be strung up, nobody seems to learn from the news on the bad things that keep happening around the world. Glad the kids are OK.

These 2 parents should be locked in a car in the Florida sun with the windows shut until they both suffocate to death.:fork::fork: I cannot believe the total disregard for their child.. I am glad the child is ok.

I spend my day with 18 3 to 5 year olds, I love each of them as if they were my own, and I have never even once left one outside my classroom on the playground. These are the kind of stories that make me feel that people should have to take classes before they can have children. I'm honestly sick to my stomach and don't really know what to say about the parents. Especially not in words I could put here. I hoep the child gets all the love, care, and attention she needs. She is in my thoughts, I'm sure I'll be thinking about her when I'm with my little ones this week.

Guests noticed the kid and they alerted the CMs near the attraction.

They parents said that they were there with their entire family and simply "forgot" their kid.

Agreed with everything said about the parents--nothing new to add there--but boy, did the article need to use the word "lifeless" like that without saying until the end of the paragraph that the child recovered? Really scared me for a minute...

I don't know how one "forgets their child." I can see forgetting to make a phone call, due an errand, forgetting your car keys, but a child? Sounds like BS. I sure hope that a judge throws the book at them.

It sounds like the CMs were alerted just in time. My guess is that the constant flow of people around the strollers could lead people to believe that nothing was out of the ordinary.

This is horrible! Who the f*** would leave their child in stroller in the blazing hot sun at DISNEY WORLD?! That is just HORRIBLE! And they say they left the child ACCIDENTALLY?! That's a bunch of bull! Who in the right mind would "accidentally" leave their toddler in a stroller and walk on the ride without a single thought about their child? BULL! BULL BULL BULL!

Sorry. This just angers me too much to describe. ><

Not that it really matters, just curious, were the parents from the states or some third world country? :veryconfu

My husband and I are foster parents and we deal with the aftermath of stupid parents all the time. It amazes me though how much effort is put into working with the parents to get their children back. A few parenting classes and they are ready to do it again. These parents will probably get their children back and do it again. I agree with the person that said the parents should be put in a car in the hot Florida sun and left there.

Agreed, I had the same sinking feeling, but I'm so glad she is doing okay.

These parents should never receive their child back as they are clearly unfit parents. It is a shame because the child will be the one who looses out in the long run.

That's pretty much why I hate watching the news on TV nowadays. They just irritate me too much with their blatant ratings-grabbing headlines.
