My wife just got us reservations for the Character Breakfast at Tuskers House for our vacation in December. I was wondering what people thought of it and is it worth it?

Thanks

I went to Tusker house for breakfast on my last trip mith my DH and DD who was 4 at the time, we all enjoyed it very much. We already have it on our list of places to go for our next trip. It had a great selection and the characters were great with us and our DD. We had the first seating of the day and were able to be at the front of the rope drop which was a bonus! I would definitely recommend it to others!

The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. The character interaction was good. Overall there are better breakfast buffets out there. Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are our favorite buffets. 'Ohana is also great. It is served family style not buffet.

Thanks for the input. We have 8:15 Reservations, so not first but will be their early. We've never tried it and the food selection didn't look bad. Will give my review when we get back.

Not your normal fair like you would find at CM or CP...pretty good and lots of fun. We like going for the first breakfast of the moring so it puts you deeper into the park when the gates open!!!

Food & character interaction was fine. Be aware that there is a photo outside of the restaurant with Donald, without getting a signature from him. He won't be inside coming to tables. This is not a problem if you know ahead of time. There is plenty of seating outside the restaurant if you have to wait to get into the restaurant.

Thanks for the tip, we'll keep that in mind when we go. We hadn't heard that before.

We ate there in Feb(2010), family of 4-Me, DH, DD13 at the time, DS8 at the time. We had 8:00am reservation and were out in time for 9 am "rope drop" (DH high tailed it over to EE to get fast passes plus he and DS walked on twice before there was much of a line). Food was good, decent selection and the staff was great. Character interaction was good but, as a pp stated, Donald was only available outside for photo, he did not come to the tables and did not sign autographs.

You'll enjoy yourselves. Send someone over over for FPs from EE when the time comes, but then enjoy the rest of your meal....:)

My DS(9) and I love Tusker House character breakfast. As a matter of fact, it's at the top of his list of must do restaurants every trip. The food is one of our favorite breakfast buffets in Disney and it's really fun to get into AK before park open and take pictures in front of the Tree of Life. And my DS still enjoys the parade with the characters. We have always found the CMs at Tusker House to be among some of the friendliest in all of WDW.

We ate there for the 1st time in december last year, we thought the tables were close together, but the food was good the donuts the best and the characters were great.

enjoyable....

We ate there last year and it was very enjoyable. The food was good, they have a few different items on their buffet than some of the others and the characters come around in good time. It was very busy but we didn't wait as long as I thought we would, so all-in-all we had a good time and we'll go back again. :)

agreed, really good character breakfast buffet. while the restaurant does get a little loud during breakfast i find it part of the experience. i enjoyed the buffet because there was so much to choose from, i was really blown away by the selection. unlike other restaurants that duplicate the buffet about half way through this place had each section decked out with something different. cheese blintzes? yes please! i also really enjoyed the carved ham and the veggie fritatas as well.

one warning. our reservation was fairly late for breakfast at 10:25AM and there seemed to be a back up and guests before us where complaining that they had been waiting 45 mins. eek!

Tusker House was the first character breakfast we attended. We all loved it. We had a 10:25am reservation and the food was very fresh. There is a great variety of foods, something for everyone's tastes. We loved the character interaction & the parade around the tables...very fun! We loved it so much that we're going back next week!

Tusker House was one of the few character buffets we could do as a walk-up.

I liked the interaction as well... on one occasion the characters figured out we were two hungry adults looking for something a little different, and while they interacted with us, they didn't make a huge deal of it.

On another occasion...(still two hungry adults) we got lots of photos and interaction.
