On my next trip to WDW, I plan on utilizing the DDP. My question is whether or not I should choose both a lunch or dinner at Tusker House as well as a lunch or dinner at Boma - Flavors of Africa. Should I choose one over the other or do both? Thanks. :king:

When we were there in March this year we had breakfast at Tusker House and dinner at Boma. The dinner at Boma was much better and I'd suggest this to everyone - you just don't have to be kinda shy to try something different. Of course there's something for everyone - but we specially liked the more exotic choice of food they offer there. The breakfast was ... well, a breakfast. Nothing really special - but we liked it and we primarely did it because of the characters.

Cheers,

I haven't been to Tusker House since the change over, but I would say hands down Boma will come out on top as being better.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere is just beautiful!
Sure the food sounds exotic, but if you look closely you will see that its just weird names for common everyday foods. The foods are not spicy hot, but flavored with spices we are not used to suing everyday. My family is very picky (I'll eat just about anything) and they all loved the food. I think the kids OD'd on the ribs and chicken. It is now a must for my family.

Great soups and salads, meats, veggies and the desserts..... :slurp:
There is a chef at each station to tell you what everything is so you won't have any surprises except how good everything tastes! :D

I am going to agree with everyone so far. Boma by a landslide. So many different varieties of food, salads, and the best deserts :slurp:. I like the atmosphere of Boma and being able to tour the AKL after dinner.

Hope this helps

Count me in too, Boma is the winner for sure. To me they are completely different and can't be compared! The Tusker House is good but Boma is better! :slurp:

We have been to Boma before and we went to Tusker House for dinner just last week, and I really enjoyed it. It is a Boma-lite, but we chose it due to my son being a very picky eater. We found it a nice balance between what the kids would eat and something different for us.

That said, I would choose Boma over Tusker House, but when I factor in the rest of the family we would definately be happy with TH again.

I know you asked about lunch and dinner, but if you have a chance goto Boma for the breakfast buffet. It was probably one of the best meals I have had at the world. Really good!

I've never been to Tusker House, but Boma was wonderful. We stayed at the AKL and the smells from Boma made us hungry the whole time we were there. We ate there one night, all 10 of us, and they sat us at one long table. It was buffet style so you could try a variety of foods. We loved it, even the kids. The hummus was delicious with the flatbreads ~:slurp:
