Tusker House lunch review

thinking of Tusker House for lunch and wondered how the food and the character interaction was? kids are sort of picky eaters so any info appreciated.

I thought the selection of food was awesome when I was there, definitely one of the better buffets out there. But this was back in 12/2008; it was not a character meal at the time, so I can't speak about interaction.

Ate there last summer, everyone in the family thought the food selection was great, quite similar to that at Bomas in AKL, with the meat carving and the stews/soups, but they do have the generic 'kids station' like in all of the WDW buffets. Also there were no characters at the lunch time we attended

Went for the first time in June of 2011 and really enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed I hadn't made time for it before, actually. Good food, nice selection, comfortable dining room, and great service. I'll definitely go back.

Tusker House Breakfast has characters

Tusker House Breakfast has characters in Safari clothes. We all love the "Jungle Juice" which is a blend of various fruit juices. I loved they put a full pot of coffee at our table so we didn't have to wait for refills. The characters do a dance every 30 minutes and get the children up dancing. The food is very similar to Boma and AKL and we loved the food selctions. It's a huge area and not as cramped feeling as other restaurants. I would recommend the breakfast.

The Tusker House lunch was our favorite buffet meal by quite a long margin. Great selection of both mild and more exotic dishes, gorgeous desserts and attentive (but not annoying) servers. Also when we went last year, if you booked for a certain time (around 2pm i think) you got FP's for Finding Nemo.

I've eaten there a couple times and really liked it. Someone else already mentioned their specialty juice/punch, which is really delicious. They also have these little tarts with mandarin orange slices on top that are good enough by themselves to make me want to go back again and again and again :animwink:
