Okay FamilyMan aka Bill. Let's dissect Steve's post, if I may be so bold, to determine why exactly he has stated you are not welcome here.

You have been banned from this website more times than I can even remember. Why do you keep returning?

FamilyMan aka Bill. Why would you have an aka? Maybe because you've repeatedly signed on under other aliases so that you could continue to do whatever it was that got you banned numerous times. And even after being told in no uncertain terms that you were not welcome, by the owner and operator of the site no less, you continued to violate the rules and your welcome.

Can I suggest you stop coming here to poach content from members for your website, and just concentrate on your own site.

You deny that you come here to "poach content" for your site but I distinctively remember some of the photos you "poached" were from long time members. In fact, because of your poaching in the past, you have made some members think twice of posting their photos here to share with all of us. Only after being called on your "poaching" did you then begin to contact those members asking them for permission to post their photos on your site.

"My intent is not to spam WDWmagic with Magical Ears updates." Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but did you or did you not start a thread on this site stating that MagicalEars has updates?? Are you not posting merely to promote YOUR site??

You then say, and I quote, "Wow, two WDW updates from Magical Ears in one day? He must be going for a new record." Now that is very interesting. Let's go back to Steve's comments to you, shall we?

So in other words, YOU aka FamilyMan aka Bill aka owner and operator of Magical Ears posted an update on YOUR site, and then came here to post about it. Is that or is that not promotion of YOUR site? The very thing you deny doing when confronted, yet again.

Your apology appears to be heartfelt, and it appears to be genuine, but appearances can be very deceiving, can't they?

Your actions have proven you to be untrustworthy. Posting other people's photos on your site without their permission is proof of your untrustworthiness.

Your behavior has proven you to be someone who cannot comply with the rules of this site. Your multiple screen names is testament to this. Why the multiple screen names if you hadn't been banned "numerous times?"

Your contradictory statements and actions prove you to be someone who cannot be trusted. You blatantly post about updates on another site and then state "He must be going for a new record." Well, sir, YOU are that He!! You meant to say "I must be going for a new record."

FamilyMan or Bill or whoever you are, from what I have seen and experienced here on wdwmagic, Steve is a very patient man, and he will not move to ban or suspend members willy nilly. The fact that you were banned numerous times, only emphasizes his distrust of you. And if Steve distrusts you, then I distrust you too.

And even if you are lucky and Steve spares your current "persona," it will not change how I feel about you. You, sir, are to be distrusted. By one and all. Perhaps you should heed Steve's advice and

"just concentrate on your own site."

Site Style

I've actually had an encounter with our friend Bill of Magical Ears. He sent me an instant message letting me know that he was working on a new site style for his site that was similar to the one used on my personal website. My sites style is based on that of the WDW road signs (same as my avatar) and Bill is apparently using the exact same style as the look for his new site menus. Since I was led to believe this was all a coincidence, I'm a nice guy, and I obviously didn't design the look of the WDW signs I said that I was cool with it but after reading the above posts about the guy I am going to be a little upset when I see that design on his site.

Hi Joey. I want to gurantee you that it was a coincdence for that issue. The design I am planning to use is very different than that of your own site. I had never even come across your site untill I IMed you. It was the avatar here on WDWmagic that I noticed, and I hadn't noticed that untill after I had already done a major part of the design. I gurantee you that some things said above about me are simply not true, or they have been twisted to make it sound as though I am the dark lord of the sith. I will answer any questions truthfully and to the point in just a bit. After I answer the questions, it is likely that I will no longer post on WDWmagic as Steve has requested.

Bill you do not love this site at all. You hate the fact that WDWMAGIC is considerably larger and more successful than your website. You work behind the scenes to spread misinformation about WDW and WDWMAGIC, and to poach content from here for your own site. Hmm, I don't know what the horizons narration mp3 has to do with poaching anything... but anyway, yes, I have asked permission from users to use photos, only because of various issues that came up. A user (friend) was sending me photos through AIM, telling me they were his own, and said I could use them on my site. Finally at one point I was questioned on the matter, and I realized that many of his photos were not his own, but from here. I then raced to get permission from many users for photos that I was already using. I did not attempt to get permission for new photos except from the users that had granted me permission to use the current photos.

There was one isolated incident where I did use some photos from a user's update here. Those would be GymLeaderPhil's photos. I had since talked to GymLeaderPhil and the issue was resolved. All of his photos were removed from my site.

You seem to have some unhealthy obsession with WDWMAGIC. You have been banned at least 6 times, and I am sure you have other usernames currently active. I am actively looking for you on the site and the forum, and rest assured, when I find you I will ban you.

I was forced to use this alternate identity because, as you say, I have an un-healthy obsession on WDWmagic. As one webmaster from another, we both know that there is no sure-fire way to ban a user that keeps coming back, he/she will always be able to sneak back on. IP banning doesn't do anything, nor does banning of the user name, or watching e-mail addresses. There are always ways around it. So the people here that just say "Steve should ban him" don't really understand that Steve has banned my other screen names on WDWmagic. So, it's really all up to me. So I'm going to have to fight myself to not post on WDWmagic anymore. I can understand why you're frustrated Steve. I keep coming back. I understand your anger. But please remember you are the one who built the site that is addictive as WDWmagic is. Is that good? For your users, yes, but for users you ban and never want to return? It's like heck for them.

You really should search through my posts as FamilyMan. You'll see that I'm not as bad as I'm made out to be. There is much good that I have posted. Perhaps that's why you let me stay for so long.

Your post on the other site was intended to discredit WDWMAGIC by implying I have attempted and been denied the rights to sell photos. There is no truth in this, so why would you post that. The answer is you are spreading misinformation and discrediting WDWMAGIC.

As far as selling bandwidth for your photos, if that's all you're selling, you should host them on a free host so everyone can view them. Explain to me why you just don't do that.

I know your site doesnt get much traffic, so you might not know this, but once a site gets large, it generates a huge amount of data transfer. Try finding a "free" host that will give you 10GB of storage and 20GB bandwidth per day.

You hardly raced, I have seen emails where you have been stalling and being evasive under requests to remove them.

It isn't just WDWMAGIC you do this too. I have seen you post on practically every medium/large WDW forum in existance. You crave attention, and you like the exposure that you can give your website by being active on many boards. You are also banned from most of the large forums.

Just so you know, I do know the value of bandwidth. My webhost says he is able to get a dedicated server for my site at no cost to me because I place some text ADs at the bottom of my pages, and one Google AD on top.

As far as me being banned on large boards... the only forums I've been banned at are these and at Disney Corner's forums. I'm welcome at my own site, MiceAge, Intercot, DisBoards, Laughing Place, D-Troops, Jim Hill, etc.

As far as WDWmagic's photos and Disney being okay with it, I think that it's safe to say that Disney would say no to you selling photos that you took in their park. But what do I know? However, you are correct that I was wrong when I said you had already asked. I apoligize for that.

And me being evasive upon a request to remove a photo? That's never happened. I always ask if it would be okay to keep the photo and just give credit, but if it's not okay, I simply ask for the web addresses for the photos in question and I remove them ASAP. I don't see how that is being evasive. Somehow I think you have this pre-determined image of me that I am pure evil or something, but if you ask the users that are close to me, you'll find that not to be true I'm sure. And I'm not going to name any names here, becuase many of them post on WDWmagic. But if they'd like to come out and name themselves and/or back me up, then that's up to them.

That is something I would like to see. Out of all the trolls, spammers, and general nuisance posters I have had over the years here, you rank as one of the most prolific. I have never had anyone come to your defense on these forums. From what I can gather, most members would like you to keep to your word, and stay away from here. Since you have your own site, I am sure your fans can find you and continue to chat with you there should they feel the need. You do not need to come here to do that.

They fear that their reputation will be damaged if they associate with me in public. So, offer that, and perhaps you'll be surprised if some come out.

Anyway, I ask that you honor my request, and delete this thread after a day or two to give those users a chance to come out. If you honor my last request, I will never post on WDWmagic again, except in this thread. And if you delete this thread, then I will never post again. But let the users come out first. If any are willing to say one good thing about me, (other than I'm leaving) I think it's only right that you give them the chance. And they might just PM you instead of posting, but a post by one of them is the only way some others will post I'm sure.
