TTA Refurbishment on schedule?

I have read on other threads that attractions that close without the distinction of being under refurbishment sometimes don't come back. I'd rather know that a ride is closed because it's getting a little tlc than wonder about whether or not one of my favorites is being closed for good.
I wouldn't use that as your guideline to give you peace of mind either considering both Rocket Rods and Horizons were closed for "refurbishment"

I was just going off of what I've read in other threads. *shrug*

Either way, I don't see the harm in calling something being closed for touch ups a refurbishment. After all, that's what refurbishment means: "to brighten or freshen up." That's exactly what they're doing, so I don't see the issue here.

I'm as critical of WDW for other things as the next person and am far from a pixie duster, but this seems like an illogical reason to be critical imo.

The issue is that in the past, "touching up" wasn't an excuse to close an attraction and save money. "Touching up" was done constantly and frequently during park closing.

That's not the way I read your other post because it harped on what the official reason for the closings has been. Sorry if I misread, but it wasn't clear to me.

I was under the impression that along with TTA that the rockets above were being torn apart and rebuilt. I cannot see Disney or any other responsible company operating a ride that is directly below the area where heavy construction is happening. I doubt TTA is closed all this time for it's own refurb., but, there is a very good chance that they just aren't going to operate it until the rockets are completed.

But don't let me stop anyone, let the paranoia run free.

The times guides are saying the TTA Peoplemover will reopen today! I will be riding it this evening around 7, so y then I'm sure all the changes or lack thereof will be weld documented, but i'll be surprised!

Also, audio hasn't changed. I assume the work on the PeopleMover was more for the Astro Orbiter

When I rode it several time in Jan 2013, there was a sudden stoppage once while we were on the sloped conveyor. My DD3 (at the time) actually fell down, as did a few other people. It was jarring.

Just because the refurbishment isn't visible, or they didn't alter "the show" doesn't mean they didn't do anything valuable during the down time.

Splash has an annual refurb every winter. Do you expect a different ride when it's done?

Indeed. Space Mountain reopened in 2009 and looked almost as crappy as it had before. But the whole RCS was replaced with a huge change in the physical ride system. That 99.9% of guests won't know about. Even after a 101.

Going to see what it is all about in a bit! Like someone else reported the narration was the old one during test runs. We shall see! Crossing fingers, maybe their will be a surprise inside... but I doubt it...

Narration was the same from what I could hear on the outdoor portions last night

I've said from day one when the refurb was announced that nothing is changing to the ride except some paint colors in the station. It was mostly to address the structure of the building the station sits on. The rest of the ride will look like it wasn't even touched.
