But the actual Mansion was built in 1961 and left unused - it was put on hold for the WF (just like Pirates which had also started construction). In the end, both attraction which had been designed as walk-throughs were heavily revised. Mansion didn't have the show building yet so it was fine. Pirates required ripping out all the steel they had already built and start over.
You’re talking about Disneyland.

What’s gonna be after Tron and Guardians? Disney has never been so dry

Well, there's a revamped Fantasmic! coming.

The aforementioned replacement for Stitch.

There's chatter that the replacement for Primeval might include a revamp/replacement of Dinorama.

In addition to TRON and Cosmic, we're waiting for PLAY!, Journey of Water, Electric Umbrella replacement. Finishing off the 'Festival Area.'

There's the SSE revamp that's on hold.

A night show can return to DAK

WDW can put back on the table things that were announced and paused or hinted at:
  • Mary Poppins attraction
  • Wondrous China
  • Coco overlay for Gran Fiesta
  • Imagination Update

Insiders have said there are over a dozen things floating about. But, of course, this isn't the time to announce any of them, especially when the previous slate is delayed.

Is the revamped Fantasmic! more than one new scene? I'm not sure how much credit WDW deserves for bringing back entertainment that they kept shuttered to save money long after reopening from the pandemic shutdown.

The Stitch replacement has been talked about for almost a decade, and as far as I've seen from our insiders there's no reason to think its any closer then it ever was. This is also true of the the Imagination pavilion and Primeval Whirl. They are a perpetual source of discussion because what exists is SO bad it seems like it HAS to be replaced - but its seemed that way for decades now, so pretending change is imminent is... misleading.

The SSE revamp, Poppins, and Coco overlay are cancelled or "indefinitely delayed." I don't think we have any indication they'll ever be anything else.

A night show can return to DAK. Parades can return to all parks. New shows can come to MGM. All those things SHOULD happen. But there's no reason to think they will.

I watch these boards fairly closely, and I've seen very little mention of the "dozen things" that have any real chance of being added to the parks. In fact, our insiders seem to have been very quiet for several years.

So what's ACTUALLY coming is PLAY!, Journey of Water, and Creations - a big empty meet and greet with some quickly outdated computer games (EPCOT's trademark), a nice landscape feature, and a generic quick-serve.

And a big reason the "previous slate" is delayed is to provide an excuse for not announcing anything more.
