It won’t be much longer before they are forced to confirm they are building “Disney’s Swamp Lake Tower at TRON Lightcycle Run: A Disney Vacation Club Resort”. They’ll be wanting to sell those $239/point contracts to help pay off Scarlett Johansson.

I don't get the hate behind this ride. Sure, it's not Pirates or Mystic Manor, but I mean they didn't have to give us anything. I understand why some people are upset, but c'mon! It's flipping TRON. I watched Legacy this morning and I am PUMPED. and the dig about the small fan base- we may be small, but we are dedicated. Also, there's more of us than you'd think.

tldr; stop complaining, it's not like they're putting GOTG in Epcot. Oh wait...

My dislike is for how long Disney his dragged this out and the fact that the railroad hasn’t been running in two years is pretty shameful. I have seen massive buildings built faster than this.

I’m sure you’re right and Tron along with the RR probably won’t be running until late fall of next year. Disney has really handled this poorly if you ask me and if you take a look at the disgraceful state of Epcot, it isn’t much of a 50th celebration in October.

The fact that the railroad will have been closed 10% of its life partly due to this closure is pretty insane. (Factoring in annual closures for refurbishments since beginning of operation.) Without annual closures, a solid 6-7% of downtime from this construction alone. That's wild.

So do we still have no idea what the new steel structure is? How close is it to the supposed train track relocation does anyone know?

I believe it closed early December 2018. I don’t see it reopening by early December 2021. I had heard they “wanted” it for Christmas but that looks rather unlikely given the current state.

Is there a lounge? In Shanghai there’s an interactive exhibit kind of thing in that spot for Chevrolet but it’s much larger and a completely different shape.

It definitely won’t be quite the same thing because Shanghai’s is proprietary to Chevy, but I’m definitely most curious to see if or what replaces it.

This is what raises the biggest questions for me. The pathway from Storybook Circus -which is only about a person wide- is bordered by the queue for Barnstormer and the railroad neither of which can necessarily be moved easily. The only other pathway is the one bordering the Light and Power Co and the speedway, which again is only about a person or two wide. ( I remember seeing a rumor about the speedway being shortened again to make the pathway wider but nothing seems to indicate that is happening yet)
What I'm saying is, is some significant pathway changes are going to need to be made for any crowd flow to work at all.
I'm sure it's in the plans somewhere but there's been zero visualization of it so far so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I’m expecting those pathways to become one way. They aren’t wide enough for 2 way traffic to an e-ticket.

Unless there is some weird exit plan that I’m not aware of like the exit going through the light and power company or something.
