How's that being tomorrow-ish? All it'd do is make it look dated or at best have the vibe of 80's Sci-Fi movies.Ideally Tomorrowland would return to the aesthetic it had before 1994.

None of the recent names have really rolled off he tongue, but then it will just me known as Tron by the guests.Any idea if the name will be changed? "TRON Lightcycle Power Run" doesn't really roll off the tongue.
As a ride system? It should be.
I love Kong, but you have to sit in the back half of the truck (the further back the better) or the effect they are going for really doesn't work that well. First couple times I rode it were in the front half and it was very disappointing. Anyway, they definitely need to step it up another notch to keep up with what Disney is suddenly doing with Pandora, Tron, and SW:GE. The Nintendo world looks amazing though I'll give them that.I think they need to up their game I think they're starting to believe their own hype (some of it deserved) but they've half baked Kong, Volcano Bay, the Hulk Re-do & I question the current state of Universal Studios' direction with Fallon (a decent ride but not needed & adds nothing) and Fast and Furious...which seems odd.
By most accounts exciting new things are coming to Universal.
Juicy! Excited at the idea the People Mover could get plussed.
Looking at the ride video from Shanghai what's the top speed of the ride? It looked similar to RnRC

My ONLY problem with this so far is the placement. It looks a little odd and almost "plopped down" right next to Space Mountain. I am excited to have the chance to ride this though!

I don't get the reason for these ridiculous names Disney has been creating.
Tron Lightcycle is a perfect name. Why does it need more?
The worst is "Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars". It's like 3 rides all in one.
By today's standards we'd have "Space Mountain Hyperspeed Rocket Launch"
I'm with you there. I like the idea of WDW getting the Tron coaster but it seems like it'll look odd right behind/next to Space Mountain (I'm sure we'll all get use to it) and I wish it wasn't another IP in Tomorrowland (or at least change the name).
I'd very much like it if they were to try something new/different besides capitalizing on IPs (like they did with Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Small World, Big Thunder, etc...).
A new idea that's about entertainment instead of marketing. I think those days are in the past, though.
Still, it's cool that the Tron Coaster is coming.
Actually the notion of something like TRON alongside the Peoplemover is a sweet thought...I hope it stays too...As a ride system? It should be.
