Bingo. I'm looking forward to Disneyland's Innoventions going away, since it's so useless (the 2010's Epcot version isn't great either, but a tad better than Disneyland's). And while I'm not a comic book guy and have never seen the Iron Man movies, I do like the idea of a Stark Expo being the big thematic plotline to the new Tomorrowland E Ticket.
That said, until this gets announced by Iger and Tom Staggs at a big media event AND when bulldozers and construction walls go up, then I will get excited. They had a big media event over a year ago where Iger announced Avatarland and then.... nothing happened and the bulldozers are nowhere in sight.
Disney had a big announcement about Hyperion Wharf.... and then nothing happened for years.
The announcement from Disney doesn't mean much anymore. You've gotta see bulldozers in action to make it count for something.
EXACTLY. Avatar Land was announced last year and not only have we yet to see any kind of construction, we haven't seen any concept artwork either. The construction I understand but the lack of concept work? I just don't get it. Disney is iffy with their work and like you said, their announcements don't mean much anymore. Even the new Princess Fantasy Faire at Disneyland; I took that lightly until they started work earlier this year, and I'm happy they're sticking to the project. Disney has shown that they're not afraid to cancel anything they've planned. It's unfortunate. I'd love for Innoventions to go bye-bye and we get the Iron Man attraction, but as of right now, I'm treating it as an attraction that will still be here for some time. I'm saving myself from disappointment.
