Trolling through the Magic Kingdom

Hello everyone. I recently took a one day trip to the MK with my wife and daughter, and decided to try my hand at a trip report. We left home around 6:30 A.M. and arrived for opening at 9:00 A.M. on 12-21-09. The temperature was hovering in the mid 40's when we arrived, and it never climbed above the high 50's throughout the day. With sunny skies all day, I thought that it was great Disney weather. We went on everything we could possibly do for a single day. The park was clean throughout, and all of the attractions were in good working order. I have read many comments on this forum lately regarding the rudeness of people at the parks, but I found that folks were generally polite and in good spirits. We never encountered some of the groups that generate many of the complaints on this forum. The CM's were also very nice.
The park was supposed to close at 11:00 P.M., but many of the attractions were running at full speed until midnight! We stayed until then, and the greatest treat was saved for last. Several weeks ago I started a thread to see if anyone knew if it would be snowing on Main Street during regular nights, and nobody could give me a definitive answer. Well, on Monday night it did! The snow was falling for about an hour and it looked great! We had a wonderful day, and I can't thank God enough for granting to us the ability to go for a day during the Christmas Season. I still believe that Disney World provides a great time for those who wish to enjoy a day of fun with hearts that are a little less cynical and/or critical. I hope that you enjoy my photos. This is Kubla. He usually hangs around my office at work, but I thought he would enjoy a day out. I let him drive for a while, but it came to an end when he refused to look where he was going. Safety first!

After this photo was taken, he actually pulled the sword. A couple of women gave him their phone numbers. The guy's an animal!

She claimed that she could grant him a wish, but a night out on the town was out of the question. He moved on and tried to find Ariel.

What can I say? When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.

Space Mountain messed up his hair. On a personal note, the refurb was purely cosmetic, but the ride is still a blast. Love classic Disney!

This is Kubla trying to hang-out with those weird little Mickey things. The plastic case proved to be a barrier to their friendship.

We were on a budget, so this is Kubla chowing on a home-made ham and Swiss/American cheese sub with BBQ chips and Disney soda. We ate at the Tomorrowland Terrace. Our food was better than theirs.

Kubla is a patriotic guy! On a personal note, the refurb done to HoP is a vast improvement over its former show. Very patriotic, and the focus is on the presidency rather than social issues. Bravo!

The new show on the steamboat was cute. The characters start by dancing on the street toward the boat as though its Mardi Gras.

All I can tell you is that she said "no". He really needs to get out more often.

Walt did it the right way. His effect on our popular culture is unbelievable.

This is Kubla catching the Christmas parade seen in the background. "turn around you little goof, you're missing the princess!"

Mickey's house dressed up for Christmas. I had to see before they tear it down. I have a lot of memories of my daughter touring that house when she was younger. Life is good.

The little ham had to get up on the stage. Oddly enough, his show was better that the one put on by Disney (no joke intended).

BTMRR. I was too rushed to get a good shot, and I had to reprimand Kubla for standing on the safety bar. He sometimes gives trolls a bad reputation.

You really don't want to hear him singing along to the song with the CoP family. He sounds like PeeWee Hermon on helium!

This is Kubla on the TTA. I think that they came close to stopping the ride because he wouldn't stay in a seat. Troublemaker.

Here he is at PoTC. Later on the ride, he panicked when the pirates started chanting "we wants the redhead". He calmed down after I explained that they were referring to someone else.
