2023 was a year of reading for me. My Kindle goal was to read 80 books on my Kindle and I finished that goal today. But in addition to that I read 30 additional books that were either paper versions or Libby app only books.

So my reading total was 110 books this year!!!!

I also read a couple travel guide books but I didn’t include those in the total since I didn’t read them entirely, just the parts I needed.

Impressive!!

I've been slacking on my reading lately, but I did read two "Christmassy" books on my Kindle that I probably bought a couple years ago.

That's fantastic! What were some of your favorites? I've been having a very hard time getting into books lately. It used to be something my Mom and I shared. I used to read a few books a week and now I struggle with reading one a month! I've been sticking to books by my favorite authors. Karen White's Tradd Street and spin off Royal Street are some of the keepers on my shelf. I love those books! And Mariana by Susanna Kearsley, is also a keeper.

I love Nora!

I just binged all of Erin Hahn's books that are out. I enjoyed them all, but More than Maybe and Never Saw You Coming were the ones that really got me in the feels. The main female characters in both had issues with parents that were similar to mine. One with her father, the other with her other, and that just wrecked me. I'm not sure what to read next. My cousin said that Erin's next book comes out in February, so I'm looking forward to that, but need something else before that, and my copy of the sequel to In the Company of Witches isn't here yet, so I can't start that one.

My preferred genre is romance so I read a lot by Laura Florand this year and loved them all. Also read a lot by Tessa Bailey, Olivia Dade, Ali Hazelwood, and Chloe Liese. Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel was also on the list. My favorite non-romance books of 2023 were The Last Kingdom by Steve Berry and Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult.

Thank you so much but today is actually my un-birthday! My profile says Jan 5 just because I was clicking through stuff when creating my account all those years ago.

If you notice, it says I'm 123 years old 🤣 which I actually feel like on some of these cold mornings 😁

But I sincerely appreciate you thinking of me and sending well-wishes! And for that, you can pet whichever dog i have with me if we ever meet!
