We had our quickest visit to MK ever.
Not exaggerating.
We entered to a cheerful CM proclaiming, “Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!”
We immediately walked to the exit turnstile where another CM chirped, “Hope you had fun! Enjoy the rest of your day!”
All because of the stupid park pass system. We had to tap in to our first park before we could hop to the park we wanted to visit.
Even though it was 5 pm!!!!

I almost saw them in Rockford last Wednesday but we skipped it because of the incoming storm. I marched with Phantom many moons ago.

The Guardians movies are awesome!! Glad you got to watching them finally!I have 50% more to add about my June trip.

I got to experience a BRAND NEW chicken exit. Not once, but TWICE!

Em scored us Guardians BGs on two different days. I was unsure if/how Cosmic Rewind would activate my motion sensitivites (especially after reports I’d read) but I really wanted to see the queue and preshows.
I knew nothing about the Guardians of the Galaxy and thought everything up through the load zone was fantastic!! The unthemed chicken exit was a basic through a door and up a set of stairs, but I loved grooving to the exit music as I waited for Em. And 98% of the people walking up the exit stairs had HUGE smiles on their faces! (I only saw a couple folks who appeared queasy, and they sat down to get their bearings.)
Em said the ride was lots of fun and that I *might* be able to experience it “under ideal conditions.” So perhaps I will one day. In the meantime I don’t feel cheated only experiencing the queue/preshows.
I’ve since watched both movies. What took me so long?
Oh more chicken exits! I am keeping track.

Signature restaurants have blenders.
Well, at least one does. We went to Narcoosee’s to celebrate Em’s promotion. She will be a School Improvement Coach (Math) this upcoming academic year.
The food was outstanding. We shared the filet with two specialty sides - grilled asparagus and signature loaded mashed potatoes. We couldn’t eat it all.
Service was top-notch.
Sadly it was likely our last visit to Narcoossee’s.
The restaurant will be closing on July 14 (it was supposed to have closed the day after our dinner.) According to MDE, “We expect to return next year with an enhanced table service experience.”
Translation? “We expect to return next year with a prix fixe menu.”
More $$$ for more food we can’t finish.

The upcharge is coming to discourage free loaders from ordering just an appetizer or dessert and then hogging a table until the Electrical Water Pageant/fireworks begin.
The same reason California Grill went prix fixe.
Em and I did not stay at Narcoosee’s for either.
We had a great view from our patio.

The campus I used to work at hosted The Cavaliers for a couple of weeks every summer.
I played snare and trip toms.

Early morning before we checked out.
Oooh Em and I did not want to leave our room! We didn’t know it at the time, but we couldn’t have spent another night there at any price.
The building our room was in - Boca Chica - closed the next day for refurbishment. We were the last occupants of Room 8131.
It was fitting for us. You see, we were the first occupants of Room 5345 - in Sago Cay - back in 2014 after the resort’s last refurbishment.
Circle of Life 8 years later.
We breakfasted at the Grand Floridian Café before our World departure.
I was pumped for POG juice!! Though I had to request a glass of ice. The juice was room temperature. Our server explained that GF did not have a chilled juice dispenser for POG juice, unlike Tusker House (her former location.) She said the juice comes as a concentrate and is mixed every morning.
Two questions I wanted to ask but didn’t.
1. Is it mixed with warm water?!!
2. Is there not a refrigerator to chill the juice/keep it cold?
Oh well. I managed to finish the juice before the ice watered it down too much. And the food was good.
That’s all there is, @Swarls Barkley. I’m done.

Now, as for the "warm" juice (POG or other) -- what the heck?! They don't refrigerate it?

We love the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers also played there that night and were fantastic. They got 2nd, but we think they should've got first. They are really good this year.
I have to be honest, when Zane said he wanted to go from tenors/quads to marimba I was pretty bummed. I love listening to the drumline. But man when he plays the marimba he is just so full of passion and bopping every where. His talent amazes me.
