Theres always someone beginning and someone ending a WDW trip at the same time. If only we could freeze time and stay in one place in time longer than 24 hours. OHHH how those WDW trips look so good in the beginning when you arrive, you have all the time in the world it seems to enjoy the magic. But the end of those precious days come too quickly, I always come home saying, where did the days go??? How can it be over????

Then start planning for the next. It is depressing to think in terms of how many more trips to Disney will I have in my life. So I focus on each blessed day I have in MK, EP, DHS, AK, DTD. And enjoy every second.....

All of the above! It's amazing how quickly a week at WDW passes. And how slowly it goes during the work weeks.

In the interim, I stay active with sports, reading -- try to mix in a Disney-themed book now and again -- learn how to mix new cocktails or try a new recipe. I have yet to master Tipsy Ducks in Love, but I think after my trip in October I'll be that much closer. I have not quite gotten the batter for the Monte Cristo sandwich just right either.

Next year there won't be a planned WDW trip, but there is an Alaskan cruise on the Wonder booked. Beyond that? Who knows? Maybe it's time to check out an Adventures by Disney trip.

I do not see anything other than drinking to help. ;)

I haven't thought about even going to WDW again until the last few months, when it became clear there was no time like the present. Now I am consumed. I really do fear that letdown.

I agree it is rough, especially seeing a lot of people who seem to manage multiple trips a year. Even if that were financially feasible, I doubt I could convince DH to go that often. he doesn't seem to care all that much that we have not been since 2002.

I am so on that. My husband is definitely thinking something other than WDW for our next trip. We need to go visit his grandparents in Maryland before they get any older. I know it is important, but I start to freak a little thinking I may have to wait 2 or more years again!

You could consider a side trip or two to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Hershey Park. Kings Dominion also, if you like coasters.

Boy, I would love to do the Disney Cruise to Alaska. Someday  ... it's on my wishes to do list. I have customers who have gone on multiple cruises with various cruise lines. They describe their Alaskan cruises as being the most wonderful cruise they have ever gone on because of the beauty of the landscape, glaciers, and wildlife. What a combination, being on an Alaskan Cruise AND being on a Disney Cruise ship.

Its really hard. I struggled with this and asked how people get over it. And the consensus from all the replies...you can't. The Disney Blues are hard to get over. The best thing - start planning your next trip even if it 3 years away. Make lists, do research and jut immerse yourself in it. I feel your pain!!! Chin up, have a drink (or 3), and it will get better. :)
