Tree of life 'grows' new roots

I'm interested to know if this is due in part to Joe Rhode being "in charge" (not sure if he's in charge, or just lead imagineer) over at AK and wonder who's in charge of the other parks imagineering-wise.
Joe Rhode guards that parks integrity like no other. Him talking about the Everest expansion area is incredibly passionate. He talks about why they choose the paint colors they did and the symbolic meaning of the hues and tones as they relate to the story of a mural. Its really something! If he guides avatar with his detailed touch I have so much hope.

I encourage you to watch the video on the avatar page where Joe Rohde talks about this very topic in terms of what DAK is all about and how it connects
the movie is not about aliens..... if you don't take the man at his word I guess the discussion is pointless
You constantly mention this video as though Disney employees are speaking spontaneously when doing those very sort of talks. They're scripted and approved. Just because Joe is engaging is no indication of how he feels about the park. Selling the idea is part of his job, whether he likes it or not and there were plenty of stories that if he didn't like it he would be finding himself joining the likes of the Kirk brothers, Delaney and Baxter. A good counterpoint to a Disney produced film would be Joe's relatively recent appearance on The Season Pass Podcast from last year's Thea Awards where Avatar is rather glossed over, but again as an arranged interview at an industry event it is still impossible to declare it a true reflection of personal feelings.

Back on topic, I beg you. There's more than one thread dedicated to debating Dances With Smurfs. I really don't want to see this thread turn ugly/redundant as well.

Are there any other areas around the base of ToL that might get a similar treatment?
It's been a couple of years since we have been to Disney, I am looking forward to picking out all of the small little details that Disney has done to the Park. I bet the Tree f Life will be beautiful when it's leaves are lit up at light. It's amazing to look at the tree and pick out all of the different animals craved in it.

like I said earlier in this thread, I have a good feeling about the rest of the DAK expansion based on what we ve seen so far with the new roots, expanded Harambe and new Lion King areas

Constantly huh or like twice?
I agree with you that if were on the blog or that video that he made with Cameron but this was a private screening of the movie with the video made by that big fat panda guy who has no association with Disney as far as I know

haha
you re also the guy that claims Pandora wont open at DAK
how much do you want to wager on both?

Avatar is all about the Benjamins, Lackluster performance on the Benjamin side will torpedo the whole thing, Avatar was the FIRST 3D movie. Just like 'The Jazz Singer' was the first talkie both made LOTS of money but neither were 'good' films.

Unless the 2017 Avatar flick makes a couple billion - I don't expect Avatar 3&4 or Pandora.
