For me, I am glad UNI opened Transformers in USF. I understand the comparisons to Spider-man and I think they (originally) never intended the ride to exist so close to Spidey.
I think some of the things I appreciate more about Transformers is how they have improved on the technology that was used in Spidey. I feel the ride vehicle in Transfomers moves with more precision, it seems every movement has a purpose. The video/screens are a step above Spidey. I am blown away at how they are able to fool me into thinking we are traveling much much faster than we are. I am also amazed that you traverse the ride across two levels of viewing areas, but if I hadn't known this, I would have never noticed when the ride vehicle goes upstairs nor when it comes back down.
I know folks talk about the lack of sets, but I really enjoyed looking at the sets in Transformers and feel the set prior to the unload area is incredible with far too much detail to take in in one sitting.
